Imam Ali (AS) said, Hold on to wealth according to the extent of your need, and forward the rest for the day of your indigence.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : أمْسِكْ مِنَ المالِ بِقَدْرِ ضَرُورَتِكَ وَ قَدِّمِ الفَضْلَ لِيَوْمِ فاقَتِكَ
