Shaykh Muḥammad b. ʿAlī al-Ṣaduq
۞
10-12 Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. Yaḥyā al-ʿAṭṭār, may God be pleased with him, narrated to us, he said: my father narrated to us; from Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. ʿĪsā; from ʿUthmān b. ʿĪsā; from ʿAbd Allāh b. Muskān; from Abū ʿAbd Allāh (ʿas), who said
"God - Blessed and Exalted - distinguished His Messenger (ṣ) with the most noble mannerisms. Test yourselves, therefore, and if you find them within yourself, then praise God and desire from Him that He increases in them." Then he mentioned that they were ten: "Certainty, contentment, patience, gratitude, satisfaction, good manners, generosity, shame for your household, bravery, and manliness."
