Hadith 937
۞
Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutwakkil (rh) narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. Ja`far al-Himyari narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Muhammad narrated to us. He said: Al-Hasan b. Mahbub narrated to us from Jamil b. Salih from `Abdullah b. Ghalib from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq (as). He said
A believer should have eight characteristics: (1) [they should be] dignified with calamities, (2) patient with tribulation, (3) thankful when relaxed, and (4) content with what Allah has given him of sustenance. (5) He should not wrong the enemies, and (6) he should not be a burden on his friends. (7) He should tire his body, and (8) the people should be at ease because of him. Surely, knowledge is the friend of the believer; forbearance is his vizier, patience is the commander of his forces, kindness is his brother, and gentleness is his father.
17 - حدثنا محمد بن موسى بن المتوكل (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن جعفر الحميري، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن محمد، قال: حدثنا الحسن بن مجبوب، عن جميل بن صالح، عن عبد الله بن غالب، عن أبي عبد الله الصادق (عليه السلام)، قال
ينبغي للمؤمن أن يكون فيه ثمان خصال: وقور عند الهزاهز، صبور عند البلاء، شكور عند الرخاء، قانع بما رزقه الله، لا يظلم الاعداء، ولا يتحامل للاصدقاء، بدنه منه في تعب والناس منه في راحة، إن العلم خليل المؤمن، والحلم وزيره، والصبر أمير جنوده، والرفق أخوه، واللين والده (1).
