Hadith 1977

6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Tsma‘il from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Uthman from a man from Minhal who has said the following
“Once I was with abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), and I was wearing a sandal which was smooth. He (the Imam) said, ‘This is of the kind of sandals that Jews wear.’ Minhal then returned, took a knife and carved to narrow down its middle.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ مِنْهَالٍ قَالَ
كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) وَ عَلَيَّ نَعْلٌ مَمْسُوحَةٌ فَقَالَ هَذَا حِذَاءُ الْيَهُودِ فَانْصَرَفَ مِنْهَالٌ فَأَخَذَ سِكِّيناً فَخَصَّرَهَا بِهَا .
