Hadith 961

Ahmad b. Harun al-Fami narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. `Abdullah al-Himyari narrated to us from his father from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Khalid al-Barqi from his father from Muhammad b. Sinan from Abi’l Jarud from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq from his father from his grandfather (as). He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Whoever says: “may Allah be glorified (subhanallah)”, Allah will plant a tree for him in Paradise due to that. Whoever says: “Praise be to Allah (alhamdulillah)”, Allah will plant a tree for him in Paradise due to that. Whoever says: “There is no god but Allah (la ilaha illallah)”, Allah will plant a tree for him in Paradise due to that. Whoever says: “Allah is the greatest (Allahu akbar)”, Allah will plant a tree for him in Paradise due to that. So, a man from Quraysh said: O Messenger of Allah! Then we have many trees in Paradise. He said: Yes, but beware of taking fire to them to burn them, for Allah says, “O you who believe! Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and do not invalidate your deeds.” (47:33)
16 - حدثنا أحمد بن هارون الفامي، قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله الحميري، عن أبيه، عن أحمد بن محمد بن خالد البرقي، عن أبيه، عن محمد بن سنان، عن أبي الجارود، عن أبي عبد الله الصادق، عن أبيه، عن جده (عليهم السلام)، قال
قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): من قال (سبحان الله) غرس الله له بها شجرة في الجنة، ومن قال (الحمد لله) غرس الله لها بها شجرة في الجنة، ومن قال (لا إله إلا الله) له غرس الله له بها شجرة في الجنة، ومن قال (الله أكبر) غرس الله له بها شجرة في الجنة. فقال رجل من قريش: يا رسول الله، إن شجرنا في الجنة لكثير. قال: نعم، ولكن إياكم أن ترسلوا عليها نيرانا فتحرقوها، وذلك أن الله عزوجل يقول: (يا أيها الذين ءامنوا أطيعوا الله وأطيعوا الرسول ولا تبطلوا أعمالكم) (1).
