Hadith 948
My father (ra) narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to me. He said: Al-Haytham b. Abi Masruq al-Nahdi narrated to me from al-Hasan b. Mahbub from `Abdullah b. Sinan from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as). He said
Allah revealed to Dawud (as): A servant from My servants may perform a deed for which I will gift him My Paradise. He said: So, Dawud (as) said: O Lord! What is that deed? He said: Bringing happiness into My believing servant, even if by giving him a date. He said: So, Dawud (as) said: The right of one who recognizes You is that he never loses hope in You.
3 - حدثنا أبي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثني سعد بن عبد الله، قال: حدثني الهيثم بن أبي مسروق النهدي، عن الحسن بن محبوب، عن عبد الله بن سنان، عن أبي عبد الله الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليه السلام)، قال
أوحى الله عزوجل إلى داود (عليه السلام): أن العبد من عبادي ليأتيني بالحسنة فأبيحه جنتي. قال: فقال داود (عليه السلام): يا رب، وما تلك الحسنة؟ قال: يدخل على عبدي المؤمن سرورا ولو بتمرة. قال: فقال داود (عليه السلام): حق لمن عرفك أن لا يقطع رجاءه (1) منك (2).

Hadith 949
Muhammad b. `Ali Majiluwayh (ra) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Yahya al-`Attar narrated to us. He said: Sahl b. Ziyad narrated to me from Muhammad b. al-Walid. He said
I heard from Yunus b. Ya`qub who narrated from Sinan b. Turayf from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq (as). He said: He said: We are the first family that Allah mentioned by our names. Surely, when Allah created the heavens and the Earth, He ordered a caller [to call out], so he called out: “I bear witness that there is no god but Allah” three times, “I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah” three times, and “I bear witness that `Ali is truly the Commander of the Faithful” three times.
4 - حدثنا محمد بن علي ماجيلويه (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن يحيى العطار، قال: حدثني سهل بن زياد، عن محمد بن الوليد، قال
سمعت يونس ابن يعقوب يقول عن سنان بن طريف، عن أبي عبد الله الصادق (عليه السلام)، قال: قال: إنا أول أهل بيت نوه الله بأسمائنا، أنه لما خلق الله السماوات والارض أمر مناديا فنادى: أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله، ثلاثا، أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله، ثلاثا، أشهد أن عليا أمير المؤمنين حقا، ثلاثا (3).

Hadith 961
Ahmad b. Harun al-Fami narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. `Abdullah al-Himyari narrated to us from his father from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Khalid al-Barqi from his father from Muhammad b. Sinan from Abi’l Jarud from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq from his father from his grandfather (as). He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Whoever says: “may Allah be glorified (subhanallah)”, Allah will plant a tree for him in Paradise due to that. Whoever says: “Praise be to Allah (alhamdulillah)”, Allah will plant a tree for him in Paradise due to that. Whoever says: “There is no god but Allah (la ilaha illallah)”, Allah will plant a tree for him in Paradise due to that. Whoever says: “Allah is the greatest (Allahu akbar)”, Allah will plant a tree for him in Paradise due to that. So, a man from Quraysh said: O Messenger of Allah! Then we have many trees in Paradise. He said: Yes, but beware of taking fire to them to burn them, for Allah says, “O you who believe! Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and do not invalidate your deeds.” (47:33)
16 - حدثنا أحمد بن هارون الفامي، قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله الحميري، عن أبيه، عن أحمد بن محمد بن خالد البرقي، عن أبيه، عن محمد بن سنان، عن أبي الجارود، عن أبي عبد الله الصادق، عن أبيه، عن جده (عليهم السلام)، قال
قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): من قال (سبحان الله) غرس الله له بها شجرة في الجنة، ومن قال (الحمد لله) غرس الله لها بها شجرة في الجنة، ومن قال (لا إله إلا الله) له غرس الله له بها شجرة في الجنة، ومن قال (الله أكبر) غرس الله له بها شجرة في الجنة. فقال رجل من قريش: يا رسول الله، إن شجرنا في الجنة لكثير. قال: نعم، ولكن إياكم أن ترسلوا عليها نيرانا فتحرقوها، وذلك أن الله عزوجل يقول: (يا أيها الذين ءامنوا أطيعوا الله وأطيعوا الرسول ولا تبطلوا أعمالكم) (1).
