Hadith 89

Al-Husayn b. Ahmad b. Idris (ra) narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Khalid from al-`Abbas b. Ma`ruf from Muhammad b. Yahya al-Khazzaz from Talha b. Zayd from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad form his father from his forefathers (as). He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Gabriel came to me from Allah and said: “O Muhammad! Surely, Allah recites the salaam to you, and says, ‘Give glad tidings to your brother, `Ali, that I will not punish one who aligns with him, nor will I grant mercy to one who opposes him.’”

قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): أتاني جبريل من قبل ربي جل جلاله، فقال: يا محمد، إن الله عزوجل يقرئك السلام ويقول: بشر أخاك عليا بأني لا اعذب من تولاه، ولا أرحم من عاداه (2).
