Hadith 760
۞
Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. Ahmad b. al-Walid (ra) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Saffar narrated to us from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Isa from Muhammad b. Sinan from Abi Malik al-Hadrami from Ismail b. Jabir from Abi Ja`far al-Baqir (as). He said in a long hadith: Surely, when Allah made His Prophet (s) ascend, He said to him
O Muhammad! Your prophethood has been completed and you have been cut away from food, so who will be for your Nation after you? So, I said: O Lord! I have tested Your creation, and I did not find anyone who loved me more intensely than `Ali b. Abi Talib. So, He said: Me too, O Muhammad, so inform him that he is the Banner of Guidance, the Imam of My friends, and a light for whoever obeys Me.
24 - حدثنا محمد بن الحسن بن أحمد بن الوليد (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن الحسن الصفار، عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى، عن محمد بن سنان، عن أبي مالك الحضرمي، عن إسماعيل بن جابر، عن أبي جعفر الباقر (عليه السلام) - في حديث طويل - يقول فيه: إن الله تبارك وتعالى لما أسرى بنبيه (صلى الله عليه وآله)
قال له: يا محمد، إنه قد انقضت نبوتك، وانقطع أكلك، فمن لامتك من بعدك؟ فقلت: يا رب، إني قد بلوت خلقك فلم أجد أحدا أطوع لي من علي بن أبي طالب. فقال عز وجل: ولي يا محمد، فمن لامتك؟ فقلت: يا رب إني قد بلوت خلقك فلم أجد أحدا أشد حبا لي من علي بن أبي طالب. فقال عز وجل: ولي يا محمد، فأبلغه أنه راية الهدى، وإمام أوليائي، ونور لمن أطاعني (6).
