Hamza b. Muhammad b. Ahmad b. Ja`far b. Muhammad b. Zayd b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. `Ali b. Abi Talib (as) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim b. Hashim informed me. He said: Ibrahim b. Ishaq al-Nahawandi narrated to me from `Abdullah b. Hammad al-Ansari from al-Husayn b. Yahya b. al-Husayn from `Amr b. Talha from Asbat b. Nasr from `Ikrama from Ibn `Abbas. He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) said: By He who raised me as a bringer of glad tidings in truth, Allah will never punish a monotheist. The people of monotheism will seek intercession and be interceded. Then, he (as) said: Surely, on the Day of Resurrection, Allah will order a people to the Fire whose deeds were evil in the abode of this world. They will say: “O Lord! How could You bring us into the Fire when we would declare Your oneness in the world? How could You burn our tongues in the Fire when they spoke of Your oneness in the world? How could You burn our hearts when they pledged that there is no god but You? How could You burn our faces when we placed them in the dust for You? How could You burn our hands when we raised them in supplication to You?” So, Allah will say: “My worshipers! Your actions were evil in the abode of the world, so the Fire of Hell is your recompense.” So, they will say: “O Lord! What is greater: Your forgiveness, or our mistakes?” So, He will say: “My forgiveness, of course.” So, they will say: “What is vaster: Your mercy, or our sins?” So, He will say: “My mercy, of course.” So, they will say: “What is greater: our declaration of Your oneness, or our sins?” So, He will say: “Your declaration of My oneness, of course.” So, they will say: “O Lord! Embrace us with Your forgiveness and Your mercy, which have encompassed all things.” So, Allah will say: “My angels! By My glory and My majesty, I have not created anything more beloved to Me than those who declare My oneness and that there is no god besides Me. It is My responsibility to not connect the people of My monotheism to the Fire. Bring My worshipers into Paradise.”
