Hadith 441
۞
My father (rh) narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us. He said: Salama b. al-Khattab narrated to us. He said: Abu’l Tahir Muhammad b. Tasnim al-Warraq narrated to us from `Abd al-Rahman b. Kathir from his father from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers (as). He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) said to his companions one day: O my companions! Surely, Allah orders you to the wilaya of `Ali b. Abi Talib and to follow his example, for he is your master and your Imam after me. Do not dispute him, for you will have disbelieved; and do not split away from him, for you will have become misguided. Surely, Allah has made `Ali a sign [distinguishing] between faith and hypocrisy, for whoever loves him is a believer, and whoever hates him is a hypocrite. Surely, Allah has made `Ali my deputy, the light post of guidance after me, the place of my secret, the repository of my knowledge, and my vicegerent among my people. I complain to Allah about his oppressors from my Nation after me.
20 - حدثنا أبي (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، قال: حدثنا سلمة ابن الخطاب، قال: حدثنا أبو طاهر محمد بن تسنيم الوراق، عن عبد الرحمن بن كثير، عن أبيه، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن آبائه (عليهم السلام)، قال
قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) ذات يوم لاصحابه: معاشر أصحابي، إن الله جل جلاله يأمركم بولاية علي بن أبي طالب، والاقتداء به، فهو وليكم وإمامكم من بعدي، لا تخالفوه فتكفروا، ولا تفارقوا فتضلوا، إن الله جل جلاله جعل عليا علما بين الايمان والنفاق، فمن أحبه كان مؤمنا، ومن أبغضه كان منافقا، إن الله جل جلاله جعل عليا وصيي ومنار الهدى بعدي، وموضع سري، وعيبة علمي، وخليفتي في أهلي، إلى الله أشكو ظالميه من أمتي من بعدي (1).
