17 – Ismāʿīl b. ʿAlī b. ʿAlī, al-Diʿbilī [ibn Akhī Diʿbil]. He resided in Wāsiṭ, and was responsible for its treasury. He was a liar, fabricator of ḥadīths. What he narrates from his father from al-Riḍā عليه السلام is not regarded, nor is other than that (to be regarded), nor what he authored.
17 - إسماعيل بن علي بن علي، الدعبلي (ابن أخي دعبل). كان بواسط مقامه، وولي الحسبة بها. كان كذابا وضاعا للحديث، لا يلتفت إلى ما رواه عن أبيه، عن الرضا (عليه السلام) ولا غير ذلك، ولا ما صنف.
