Imam Ali (AS) said, Indeed we, the household [of the Prophet], are the doors of wisdom, the lights that dispel darkness and the illumination of the nations.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : ألا وَإنّا أهْلَ البَيْتِ أبْوابُ الحِكَمِ وَ أنْوارُ الظُّلَمِ وَ ضِياءُ الأُمَمِ

Imam Ali (AS) said, They are the lamps in the darkness, the springs of wisdom, the sources of knowledge and the loci of forbearance.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : هُمْ مَصابِيحُ الظُّلَمِ وَ يَنابِيعُ الحِكَمِ وَ مَعادِنُ العِلْمِ وَ مَواطِنُ الحِلْمِ

hadith 2538
Imam Ali (AS) said, We are the [family] tree of Prophethood, the station of revelation, the ones upon whom angels descend, the fountains of wisdom and the sources of knowledge. Our helpers and lovers await mercy while our enemies and haters await wrath.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : نَحْنُ شَجَرَةُ النُّبُوَّةِ وَ مَحَطُّ الرِّسالَةِ وَ مُخْتَلَفُ الْمَلائِكَةِ وَ يَنابيعُ الْحِكَمِ وَمَعادِنُ الْعِلْمِ ناصِرُنا وَ مُحِبُّنا يَنْتَظِرُ الرَّحْمَةَ وَ عَدُوُّنا وَ مُبْغِضِينا يَنْتَظِرُ السَّطْوَةَ
