The Trial and the Test

“There is nothing which causes fear or which causes delight [qabd wa bast] in which Allah has not placed a favor and a trial (for His Servants).”

“There is nothing which causes fear or delight which is devoid of will [mashiyyah], destiny [qada’] and trial [ibtila’].”

“There is no action which Allah has commanded to do or which Allah has prohibited from doing, and which causes fear or delight, which is not a trial decreed from Allah, the mighty and High.”
