Hadith 170
4. Humayd ibn Ziyad al-Husayn from Muhammad ibn Sama‘ah from more than one person from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from ‘Abd al- Rahman ibn abu ‘Abd Allah who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), if it is proper to hire a Jewish or a Christian or a pagan woman for breastfeeding. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful but do not allow them to drink wine.’”
حُمَيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) هَلْ يَصْلُحُ لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ تُرْضِعَ لَهُ الْيَهُودِيَّةُ وَ النَّصْرَانِيَّةُ وَ الْمُشْرِكَةُ قَالَ لَا بَأْسَ وَ قَالَ امْنَعُوهُنَّ مِنْ شُرْبِ الْخَمْرِ .

Hadith 171
5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father, from Hammad from Hariz from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘The milk of a Jewish, a Christian or a Zoroastrian woman is more likeable to me than the milk of a woman because of fornication.’ He (the Imam) would not consider it unlawful if the breastfeeding woman is a slave-girl who has committed fornication and her master gives permission.”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
لَبَنُ الْيَهُودِيَّةِ وَ النَّصْرَانِيَّةِ وَ الْمَجُوسِيَّةِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ لَبَنِ وَلَدِ الزِّنَا
