على بن الحسن الميثمي روى عن أخيه أحمد بن الحسن وروى عنه أحمد بن محمد كما يظهر من باب ميراث أهل الملل المختلفة من - التهذيب والظاهر أنه المذكور من قبل بعنوان على بن إسماعيل بن شعيب من ميثم كما يظهر من ترجمه أحمد بن الحسن بن إسماعيل الميثمي " س ".

Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Mithami narrated from his brother Ahmad ibn al-Hasan, and Ahmad ibn Muhammad narrated from him... It appears that Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Mithami is a mistake and Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Taymi (ibn Faddal) is correct.
