Hadith.2377 - Sa'id ibn Abdullah Al-A'raj asked Abu Abdullah (as) about an ostrich egg that he ate while in the Haram. Imam (as) replied: "Give in charity the equivalent of its price."

“Once I asked Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) about a man who reads the Holy Quran but then he forgets, he reads again and forgets. Is it an offense? The Imam said, ‘No, it is not an offense.’”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘Is charity lawful for Mawali (servants) of children of al-Hashim?’ The Imam said, ‘Yes, it is lawful.’”

Everything in this book that is narrated from Said Al-Araj has been transmitted by me from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Sad ibn Abdullah, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr Al-Bazanti, from Abdul Karim ibn Amr Al-Khathami, from Said ibn Abdullah Al-Araj Al-Kufi.

Everything in this book that is narrated from Ammar ibn Musa Al-Sabati has been transmitted by me from my father and from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad ibn Al-Walid - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them both - from Sa'id ibn Abdullah, from Ahmad ibn Al-Hasan Ali ibn Faddal, from Amr ibn Sa'id Al-Mada'ini, from Musaddiq ibn Sadaqah, from Ammar ibn Musa Al-Sabati.

Hadith.2872 - Sa'id ibn Abdullah al-A'raj asked Abu Abdullah (as) about a person who has not performed Hajj (a ṣarūra): "Can they perform Hajj on behalf of a deceased person?" Imam (as) said: "Yes, if the ṣarūra does not have the means to perform Hajj for themselves. However, if they have wealth, they cannot do so until they perform Hajj for themselves from their own wealth. Performing Hajj on behalf of the deceased is valid whether the deceased had wealth or not."

"The most beloved land to Allah (swt), the Exalted, is Mecca, and no soil is more beloved to Him, Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, than its soil; no stone is more beloved to Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, than its stones; no tree is more beloved to Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, than its trees; no mountains are more beloved to Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, than its mountains; and no water is more beloved to Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, than its water."

Let each of you bring the purest of his wealth, and do not bring any wealth gained from severing family ties or from unlawful means.' They did so, and the fear was lifted, allowing them to proceed with its construction. When they reached the location of the Black Stone, they disputed among themselves as to who would place it in its position, and their disagreement nearly led to conflict. They agreed to let the first person to enter the mosque decide. The first to enter was the Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). When he came to them, he asked for a cloth to be spread out. He placed the Black Stone in the middle of it and then instructed the tribes to hold the edges of the cloth and lift it together. Once it was raised, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) took the stone with his own hands and placed it in its position. Thus, Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, honored him with this distinction."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that during the days of ignorance Quraysh had destroyed the House, but when they wanted to rebuild, something came between them and the House. They were frightened so much that someone among them said, ‘Everyone should bring the best and purest of his properties which he has earned free from involvement in misuse of good relations with relatives or unlawful matters. They did so and were allowed to build. They built up to the place for the Black Stone and they began to disagree about who should set it in place. The disagreement rose to an evil level; so they decided to settle it by the advice and judgment of the first person who comes through the door of the Masjid. The first person coming through that door was the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause. When he was among them, he asked for a piece of cloth, which he spread on the ground, then placed the Black Stone in the middle. Then the tribes holding from the edges of the cloth lifted up the Black Stone; thereafter, he picked it up and placed it in its place and in this way Allah granted him a privilege.”
