حبيب الأحول: الخثعمي، كوفي، من أصحاب الصادق (عليه السلام)، رجال الشيخ (344)، وذكره البرقي أيضا. روى بعنوان حبيب الأحول عن أبي عبد الله (عليه السلام)، وروى عنه حماد بن أبي طلحة. الكافي: الجزء 2، كتاب الايمان والكفر 1، باب الاصلاح بين الناس 91، الحديث 1. أقول: الظاهر أنه غير حبيب بن معلل الخثعمي الآتي، وذلك لعد الشيخ إياهما في أصحاب الصادق (عليه السلام).
