1. All of my scholars narrated to me from Sa’d (ibn ‘Abdillāh), from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Dāwūd Al-Sarmi, who said
I heard Abā Ja’far the Second (Imam Jawād (a.s.)) say: Those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of my father (Imam Riďā (a.s.)) will be rewarded with Paradise.
1 حَدَّثَنِي جَمَاعَةُ مَشَايِخِي عَنْ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ دَاوُدَ الصَّرْمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الثَّانِي (ع) قَالَ
سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ مَنْ زَارَ قَبْرَ أَبِي فَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ

5. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn abu Nasr who has said the following
“Once I heard al-Rida (a.s.) saying, ‘Yawning is from Satan and sneezing is from Allah.”
5ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ الرِّضَا (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ التَّثَاؤُبُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَالْعَطْسَةُ مِنَ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from certain persons of his people who has said the following
“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is of the good fortune of a man whose daughter does not experience Hayd (menses) in his home.’”
1- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
مِنْ سَعَادَةِ الْمَرْءِ أَنْ لا تَطْمَثَ ابْنَتُهُ فِي بَيْتِهِ.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Ali ibn al-Hakam from abu Jamilah in a marfu’ manner from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following
“Abu Ja’far (a.s.) has said, ‘Allah hates an abusive obscenity-monger.’”
4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ يَرْفَعُهُ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِنَّ الله يُبْغِضُ الْفَاحِشَ الْمُتَفَحِّشَ.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ibn Faddal from al-Hassan ibn al-Jahm that
he heard (Imam) al-Ridha (as) saying, “The friend of every person is his intellect and his enemy is ignorance.”
4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْجَهْمِ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ الرِّضَا (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ صَدِيقُ كُلِّ امْرِئٍ عَقْلُهُ وَعَدُوُّهُ جَهْلُهُ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Nadir al-Khadim who has said the following
“Abu al-Hassan, al-Rida’ (a.s.), would eat cooked chickpeas before and after food.’”

لُبْسُ الْخُفِّ يَزِيدُ فِي قُوَّةِ الْبَصَرِ .

10. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa ibn ‘Ubayd from Yunus from Hisham ibn al-Hakam who has said the following.
“I asked abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) about the words 'Glorious is Allah.'” He replied, “(It means) Respect of Allah.”
10ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنْ سُبْحَانَ الله فَقَالَ أَنَفَةٌ لله.

7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus from ibn Muskan from abu Basir who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Whoever knows the differences among people is not a feeble-minded person.’”
7ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) مَنْ عَرَفَ اخْتِلافَ النَّاسِ فَلَيْسَ بِمُسْتَضْعَفٍ.

قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) مَنْ خَافَ النَّاسُ لِسَانَهُ فَهُوَ فِي النَّارِ.

6. Ali has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus from abu Basir who has narrated the following
“I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about the case of a woman who dies and does not leave behind any heirs except her husband. He (the Imam) said, ‘The legacy entirely belongs to him (the husband).”’
6- عَلِيٌّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ تَمُوتُ وَلا تَتْرُكُ وَارِثاً غَيْرَ زَوْجِهَا قَالَ الْمِيرَاثُ كُلُّهُ لَهُ.

كَرِهَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ وَعَلَيْهِ ثَوْبٌ فِيهِ تَمَاثِيلُ.

“ Al-Taqiyyah is a shield of Allah between Allah (His punishing) and His creatures.”
19ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ التَّقِيَّةُ تُرْسُ الله بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ خَلْقِهِ.

“Once I asked abu ‘Aabd Allah (a.s.) about belief. He said, ‘Belief is whereby Allah is obeyed and (with it) one does not commit sins.’”
3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ سَلامٍ الْجُعْفِيِّ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) عَنِ الإيمَانِ فَقَالَ الإيمَانُ أَنْ يُطَاعَ الله فَلا يُعْصَى.

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ التَّثْوِيبِ فِي الأذَانِ وَالإِقَامَةِ فَقَالَ مَا نَعْرِفُهُ.

26ـ جَمَاعَةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ السَّرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
الأذَانُ تَرْتِيلٌ وَالإِقَامَةُ حَدْرٌ.
