“About the case of a woman who leaves behind her husband and both parents, abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘The share of the husband is one-half, the share of mother is one-third and the remaining belongs to the father.’”

“About the case of a woman who dies leaving behind just her husband, abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘The entire legacy belongs to him (the husband) if no other heirs exist.’”

“I once heard abu Ja‘far (a.s.), saying, ‘The grandfather distributes the legacy with brothers in equal shares, no matter whatever the number of brothers is.’”

Everything in this book that is narrated from Isma'il ibn 'Abd Al-Rahman Al-Ju'fi Al-Kufi has been transmitted by me from Muhammad ibn Ali Majilawayh - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from his uncle Muhammad ibn Abi Al-Qasim, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid, from his father, from Muhammad ibn Sinan and Safwan ibn Yahya, from Isma'il ibn 'Abd Al-Rahman Al-Ju'fi Al-Kufi.

“Sufyani will come from the Roman area in the disguise of a Christian, wearing a cross and leading a group.”

Amir al-Mu’minin `Ali b. Abi Talib (as) gave a sermon to the people on the Day of Fitr, saying: O people! This day of yours is the day when the righteous are rewarded and when the wrongdoers lose. This day of yours is a day most resembling the day of your resurrection. So, remember how your exit from your houses to your places of prayer is like your exit from your bodies to your Lord. Remember how your standing in your places of prayer is like your standing before your Lord. Remember how your return to your houses is like your return to your houses in Paradise or the Fire. Know, O worshipers of Allah, that an angel calls to the fasting men and women on the last day of the month of Ramadan, saying: “Be glad, worshipers of Allah, for your past sins have been forgiven. So, look to how you resume.”

448. Ismail Bin Abdullah Al-Qarshy who said: A man came up to Abu Abdullah (asws), so he said to him (asws), ‘O son (asws) of the Messenger (asws) of Allah (azwj), I saw in my dream as if I was outside of the city of Al-Kufa in a place which I recognised, and there was a ghost of a man made of wood, riding a wooden horse and waving his sword, and I saw him and was terrified and in a panic’. So he (asws) said to him: ‘You are a man who wants to assassinate a man for his livelihood, so fear Allah (azwj) Who Created you, then will Cause you to die’. So the man said, ‘I testify that you (asws) have received Knowledge and have extracted it from its mine. I inform you (asws), O son (asws) of the Rasool Allah (saww) that you (asws) have interpreted (correctly) for me. There was a man in my neighbourhood who came to me and presented to me his asset, so I thought that I should own it for much less as I realised that there is no other seeker for it apart from me’. So Abu Abdullah (asws) said: ‘And your companion has befriended us (asws) rather our (asws) enemies?’ He said, ‘Yes, O son (asws) of the Rasool Allah (saww), a good man with foresight, resolute in the Religion, and I repent to Allah (azwj) and to you (asws) from what I was thinking of and intended for. So, inform me, O son (asws) of the Rasool Allah (saww), had he been a Hostile One (Nasibi), would it have been permissible for me to assassinate him?’ He (asws) said: ‘Fulfil the trust to the one who has entrusted you and wants advice from you even if it is to the killer of Al-Husayn (asws)’.
