H 474 - It is narrated from Fadhl from Ibn Faddal from Muthanna Hannat from Abdullah bin Ajlan from Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s) that he said
“One who believes in occultation and reappearance, but dies before the advent of Imam Mahdi (a.s) it is as if he has died fighting alongside the Imam.”
474- عنه، عن ابن فضال، عن المثنى الحناط، عن عبد الله بن عجلان، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال
من عرف هذا الامر ثم مات قبل أن يقوم القائم عليه السلام كان له مثل أجر من قتل معه.

21. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla ibn Muhammad from al-Washa’ from al-Muthanna al-Hannat from al-Qutayba al-A'sha from Ibn Abi Ya‘fur from a slave of Banu Shayban that Abu Ja‘far (al-Baqir) (as) said
"When our Qa’im (Imam al-Mahdi) rises, Allah will place His hand over the heads of His servants and He will place their intelligence together and complete their understanding.”
21ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنِ الْمُثَنَّى الْحَنَّاطِ عَنْ قُتَيْبَةَ الاعْشَى عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ عَنْ مَوْلىً لِبَنِي شَيْبَانَ عَنْ ابي جعفر (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِذَا قَامَ قَائِمُنَا وَضَعَ الله يَدَهُ عَلَى رُءُوسِ الْعِبَادِ فَجَمَعَ بِهَا عُقُولَهُمْ وَكَمَلَتْ بِهِ أَحْلامُهُمْ.

4. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from Muthanna’ al- Hannat from Zurarah who has said the following
“About the case of a plantation which is sold when it is only grass, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not unlawful if he says, “I buy from you what comes out of this plantation.” If he buys it when it is only grass he can use it or if he likes he can wait (until harvest time).”’
4- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنِ الْمُثَنَّى الْحَنَّاطِ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي زَرْعٍ بِيعَ وَهُوَ حَشِيشٌ ثُمَّ سَنْبَلَ قَالَ
لا بَأْسَ إِذَا قَالَ أَبْتَاعُ مِنْكَ مَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْ هَذَا الزَّرْعِ فَإِذَا اشْتَرَاهُ وَهُوَ حَشِيشٌ فَإِنْ شَاءَ أَعْفَاهُ وَإِنْ شَاءَ تَرَبَّصَ بِهِ.

19. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Qasim ibn Yahya from his grandfather al-Hassan ibn Rashid from al- Muthanna al-Hannat from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘If the Messenger of Allah were to receive happy news he would say, “All praise belongs to Allah, for His granting this favor.” Whenever he was to receive a sad news he would say, “All praise belongs to Allah in all conditions.’””
19ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ جَدِّهِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنِ الْمُثَنَّى الْحَنَّاطِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
كَانَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) إِذَا وَرَدَ عَلَيْهِ أَمْرٌ يَسُرُّهُ قَالَ الْحَمْدُ لله عَلَى هَذِهِ النِّعْمَةِ وَإِذَا وَرَدَ عَلَيْهِ أَمْرٌ يَغْتَمُّ بِهِ قَالَ الْحَمْدُ لله عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ.

H 134 - It is narrated from Husain bin Ubaidullah from Abu Ja’far Muhammad bin Sufyan Bazufari from Ahmad bin Idris from Ali bin Muhammad Ibn Qutaibah Nishapuri from Fadhl bin Shazan Nishapuri from Hasan bin Ali Ibn Faddal from Muthanna Hannat from Hasan bin Ziyad Saiqal that he said
I heard Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s) say: “Without any doubt, Imam Qaim (a.s) will not reappear till there is a call from the sky, which the ladies in veils and people of each corner of the world hear. It is about this point that the following verse is revealed: “If We please, We should send down upon them a sign from the heaven, so that their necks should stoop to it.” (26:4)
134- وأخبرنا الحسين بن عبيد الله عن أبي جعفر محمد بن سفيان البزوفري عن أحمد بن إدريس عن علي بن محمد بن قتيبة النيشابوري عن الفضل بن شاذان النيشابوري عن الحسن بن علي بن فضال عن المثنى الحناط عن الحسن بن زياد الصيقل قال
سمعت أبا عبد الله جعفر بن محمد عليهما السلام يقول: إن القائم لا يقوم حتى ينادي مناد من السماء تسمع الفتاة في خدرها ويسمع أهل المشرق والمغرب. وفيه نزلت هذه الآية: ﴿إِنْ نَشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ السَّماءِ آيَةً فَظَلَّتْ أَعْناقُهُمْ لَها خاضِعِينَ﴾.

Everything in this book that is narrated from Abu Al-Mughira Humayd ibn Al-Muthanna Al-Ajli has been transmitted by me from my father - may Allah (swt) have mercy on him - from Sad ibn Abdullah, from Muhammad ibn Al-Husayn ibn Abi Al-Khaṭṭab, from Uthman ibn Isa, from Abu Al-Mughira Humayd ibn Al-Muthanna Al-Ajli. He was a trustworthy Arab from Kufa and had authored a book.
عن أبي- رحمه اللّه- عن سعد بن عبد اللّه، عن محمّد بن الحسين بن أبي الخطّاب، عن عثمان بن‌ عيسى، عن أبي المغراء حميد بن المثنّى العجليّ، و هو عربيّ كوفيّ ثقة و له كتاب‌.

Hadith.3138 - Hisham ibn al-Muthanna narrated from Sadeer, who narrated from Abu Ja’far (as), who said to him
"Begin with Mecca and conclude with us."
3138 - رَوَى هِشَامُ بْنُ اَلْمُثَنَّى عَنْ سَدِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ

Hadith.5647 - Al-Bazanti narrated from Al-Muthanna from Al-Hasan Al-Ṣayqal from Abu Abdullah (as) who said
I asked Imam (as) about a paternal nephew and a grandfather (regarding inheritance). Imam (as) said: "The inheritance is divided equally between them, half and half."
5647 - وَ رَوَى اَلْبَزَنْطِيُّ عَنِ اَلْمُثَنَّى عَنِ اَلْحَسَنِ اَلصَّيْقَلِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لَهُ اِبْنُ أَخٍ وَ جَدٌّ قَالَ "اَلْمَالُ بَيْنَهُمَا نِصْفَانِ".

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn af-Muthanna’ from Sadir who has said the following
“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that you should commence with Makkah and end with us.”

ابْدَءُوا بِمَكَّةَ وَاخْتِمُوا بِنَا.

6. He said: Abul Hasan ‘Ali ibn Khalid al-Maraghi reported to me from Thawabah Ibn Yazid, who reported from Ahmad ibn ‘Ali al-Muthanna, from Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna, from Shababah ibn Sawwar, from al-Mubarak ibn Saeed, from Khaleel al-Farrà, from Abu Al-Mujabbar, who said
The Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, said: "Four things corrupt the heart; to be alone (in privacy) with women, to listen to (the advice of) women, and to seek their opinion, and to be in company of the dead." So someone asked: "O messenger of Allah! What is the company of the dead?" He said: "To be in company of anyone who leads astray from the faith and the one who is unfair in the judgements."
6 - قال: أخبرني أبو الحسن علي بن خالد المراغي قال: حدثنا ثوابة ابن يزيد قال: حدثنا أحمد بن علي بن المثنى، عن محمد بن المثنى ، عن شبابة بن سوار قال: حدثني المبارك بن سعيد، عن خليل الفراء، عن أبي المجبر قال
قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله: أربع مفسدة للقلوب: الخلوة بالنساء، والاستماع منهن، والأخذ برأيهن، ومجالسة الموتى، فقيل له: يا رسول الله وما مجالسة الموتى؟ قال: مجالسة كل ضال عن الإيمان وجائر في الأحكام .

Hadith.1209 - Abu al-Maghra' Humayd ibn al-Muthanna said: "I was with Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) when Hafs al-Kalbi asked him: "When I am behind the Imam and he is reciting aloud, may I make supplications and seek refuge (in Allah (swt))?" Imam (as) said: "Yes, you may supplicate."

Hadith.3532 - In the narration of Al-Muthanna, from Abu Abdullah (as): "If the one who raised the abandoned child demands repayment for his expenses and he (the child) is financially capable, he must repay him. However, if he is not financially capable, then what was spent is considered charity."
3532 - وَ فِي رِوَايَةِ اَلْمُثَنَّى عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ

“How about you if you go and you do not find anyone (to resort to) and you come back and you do not find anyone?”

Hadith.4800 - Al-Bazanti narrated from Al-Muthanna, from Zurara, from Abu Abdullah (as) who said
I asked him about a woman who menstruates only once every three or four years. Imam (as) said: "She observes a waiting period of three months, and then she may marry if she wishes."
4800 - وَ- رَوَى الْبَزَنْطِيُّ عَنِ الْمُثَنَّى عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الَّتِي لَا تَحِيضُ إِلَّا فِي ثَلَاثِ سِنِينَ أَوْ أَرْبَعِ سِنِينَ قَالَ تَعْتَدُّ ثَلَاثَةَ أَشْهُرٍ ثُمَّ تَتَزَوَّجُ إِنْ شَاءَتْ.

6. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Washsha’ from al-Muthanna’ from Hatim ibn Sulayman who has said the following

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn al-Muthanna’ from Sadir who has said the following
“Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said, ‘It is of good fortune of a man to have a son who resembles his father, physically, morally and in his nature.”’

Hadith.2374 - Al-Muthanna narrated from Muhammad ibn Abi al-Hakam: He said
I told a servant of ours, "Prepare our meal." So he took birds from Mecca, slaughtered them, and cooked them. I went to Abu Abdullah (as), and Imam (as) said: "Bury them and offer compensation (fidya) for each bird among them."
2374 - وَ رَوَى اَلْمُثَنَّى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي اَلْحَكَمِ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لِغُلاَمٍ لَنَا هَيِّئْ لَنَا غَدَاءَنَا فَأَخَذَ لَنَا مِنْ أَطْيَارِ مَكَّةَ فَذَبَحَهَا وَ طَبَخَهَا فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ فَقَالَ «اِدْفِنْهُنَّ وَ اِفْدِ عَنْ كُلِّ طَيْرٍ مِنْهُنَّ».

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from al-Muthanna’ ibn al-Walid who has said the following
“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ’If one goes to sleep with seven leaves of endives in his belly he will remain safe from colic (colitis) pain that night by the will of Allah.’”
