“I once heard abu al-Hassan (a.s.), saying, ‘Fortunate is the man who does not die before seeing a successor of his own self.’”

f oho wing: “I once asked the virtuous servant of Allah about the case of a woman who dies with her child in her womb. He (the Imam) (a.s.), said, ‘Her belly is opened to remove her child.’”

“I once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about a man who is on a journey and during performing a Salah (prayer) he decides to stay there for ten days. He (the Imam) said, ‘If he decides to stay for ten days, he is required to perform his Salah (prayer) complete.’” (The following chapter is best explained in the form of fatwa.)

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘One has no belief if he does not have bashfulness.’”

“I saw abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), performing Salat (prayer) in al-Rawdah and wore a jubbah (gown) of al-Khazz (garments made of skin or fur of an animal that lives in water) of the color of quince.’”

When Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) would enter a graveyard, he would say: Salām upon the people of Paradise.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A wine addict is one who drinks whenever he finds.’”

Hadith.2241 - Ali ibn Yaqtin asked Imam Abu Al-Hasan (as) about a man who entrusted the cost of one Hajj to five people. Imam (as) replied: "One of them performs the Hajj, and all of them share in the reward." Ali ibn Yaqtin then asked: "Who is the Hajj attributed to?" Imam (as) replied: "It is for the one who prayed in both the heat and the cold."

“Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), once mentioned celery and said, ‘You desire to eat celery and there is no living thing that does not rub against it.’” (It can be for or against it depending on if, they rub for cure or to leave poison).

Hadith.825 - Ali ibn Ja'far and Ali ibn Yaqtin asked Abu Al-Hasan Imam Musa ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim (as) about whether a man and a woman may pray while dyed with henna or wasmah (a type of dye). Imam (as) said: "If they expose the mouth and nostrils, there is no problem."

“I once said to abu al-Hassan (a.s.), I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, what do you say about people’s saying, ‘The bailsman suffers loss . 5 He (the Imam) said, ‘The bailsman is not responsible for any loss. The one who has consumed the asset is responsible for the loss.”’

I asked him about Yunus so he said: the client of the family of Yaqtin? I said: Yes. He said to me: May Allah have mercy on Him, he was a righteous servant.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘You must remain on your guard in intermingling with lowly people; lowly people do not end up in goodness.’” (Al-Saduq in Ma‘ani al-Akhbar has said the following to be of the qualities of lowly people: People indifferent to what they say or what is said against them, those who play tambourine, those who are indifferent to favor and insult or those who falsely claim to be trustworthy.)

“Ya‘qub ibn Yaqtin narrated to me saying, ‘I once asked the virtuous servant of Allah about Qunut (supplication after recitation in second Rak‘at) in al-Witr, the morning Salah (prayer) and Salah (prayer) which is said aloud before Ruku‘ (bowing down on one’s knees) or after Ruku‘. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is before Ruku‘ when you complete your recitation.’”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a woman experiencing Hayd (menses) who finds herself clean and her husband goes to bed with her. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful but taking Ghusl (bath) is more likeable to me.’”

“On the Day of Judgment, Allah will hold everyone accountable according to the degree of intelligence He had given them in their worldly life.”

“I once visited abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), when his women were with him and he (the Imam) sensed a smell and asked what it was. They said, ‘It is a kind of perfume which is placed in one’s hairs.’ He (the narrator) has said, that he (the Imam) commanded to throw it in the sewage.’”

I said to Abu al-Hasan al-Awwal (Imam Musa ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim (as)) "A man died, and he had Zakat due on him. He instructed in his will that the Zakat be paid on his behalf, but his children are needy. Paying the Zakat would cause them severe hardship. What should they do?" The Imam (as) replied: "They should pay the Zakat and then return it to themselves, keeping a portion to be given to others."

Hadith.1298 - Ali ibn Yaqtin asked Abu al-Hasan (as) about a man who sets out on a journey and then decides to stay (reside) while he is in the midst of prayer. Imam (as) said: "He should complete (the full prayer) when he decides to stay." He also asked about a man who accompanies his brother to the point where shortening prayers and breaking the fast becomes obligatory. Imam (as) said: "There is no harm in that."

his father Ali b. Yaqtin – may Allah have mercy on him – sent to his female slaves [to hand over to him whatever they possessed of wealth] such that he even carried away their gifts [given to them] by the one who sold them to him [their former master], then he sent to him [al-Kadhim] what he [the Imam] had enjoined on him of [collecting] their [al-Kadhim’s sons’ prospective wives’] dowries, and he added three thousand gold coins for the Walima [public lunch], so it all came to thirteen thousand gold coins in a single installment.
