Hadith.4260 - Al-Hasan ibn Mahbub narrated from Wahb ibn Abd Rabbih who said
I saw Abu Abdillah (as) using a toothpick, so I looked at him. Imam (as) said: "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace be upon him and his family) used a toothpick, and it purifies the mouth."
4260 - وَ رَوَى اَلْحَسَنُ بْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ قَالَ
رَأَيْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ يَتَخَلَّلُ فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ "إِنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ كَانَ يَتَخَلَّلُ وَ هُوَ يُطَيِّبُ اَلْفَمَ".

3. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Mūsā ibn ‘Umar, from Ghassān Al-Basri, from Mu’āwiyah ibn Wahab, who said
Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said to me: O Mu’āwiyah! Do not neglect going to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain (a.s.) because of fear. Verily he who abandons the Ziyārah of Ḥusain (a.s.) (for any reason) will regret it so much that he will wish that his grave was next to him. Do you not like Allāh to see you among those for whom the Messenger of Allāh, ‘Ali, Fāťimah, and the Imams (a.s.) pray?! Do you not like to be among those who return with forgiveness for their past sins and (do you not like) to return from his Ziyārah with seventy years of sins forgiven for you?! Do you not like to be among those who will not have any sins about which they will be questioned when they leave this life?! Do you not like to be among those whose hands the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) will shake tomorrow (on the Day of Judgment)?!
3 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ حَسَّانَ [غَسَّانَ] الْبَصْرِيِّ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ
قَالَ لِي يَا مُعَاوِيَةُ لَا تَدَعْ زِيَارَةَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) لِخَوْفٍ- فَإِنَّ مَنْ تَرَكَهُ رَأَى مِنَ الْحَسْرَةِ مَا يَتَمَنَّى أَنَّ قَبْرَهُ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ أَ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ يَرَى اللَّهُ شَخْصَكَ وَ سَوَادَكَ فِيمَنْ يَدْعُو لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (ص) وَ عَلِيٌّ وَ فَاطِمَةُ وَ الْأَئِمَّةُ ع- أَ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِمَّنْ يَنْقَلِبُ بِالْمَغْفِرَةِ لِمَا مَضَى وَ يُغْفَرَ لَكَ ذُنُوبُ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً أَ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِمَّنْ يَخْرُجُ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ ذَنْبٌ تتبع [يُتْبَعُ بِهِ أَ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ تَكُونَ غَداً مِمَّنْ يُصَافِحُهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (ص) حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) وَ جَمَاعَةُ مَشَايِخِي عَنْ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَصَمِّ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ اسْتَأْذَنْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) وَ ذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ وَ الدُّعَاءَ لِزُوَّارِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) وَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ مَتٍّ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عسان [غَسَّانَ] الْبَصْرِيِّ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ وَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ اسْتَأْذَنْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) وَ ذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ الدُّعَاءِ الَّذِي فِي زُوَّارِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ جَمَاعَةُ مَشَايِخِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِدْرِيسَ وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى جَمِيعاً عَنِ الْعَمْرَكِيِّ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْبُوفَكِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى خَادِمِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الثَّانِي (ع) عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ اسْتَأْذَنْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) وَ ذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

hadith 875
Hadith.876 - Muawiya ibn Wahb asked Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) about the adhan (call to prayer). The Imam said: "Raise your voice and speak loudly when giving the adhan. When performing the iqamah (second call to prayer), use a slightly lower voice. Do not delay your adhan and iqamah except until the time for prayer has arrived, and recite the iqamah quickly (with fluidity)."
876 - وَ سَأَلَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ: عَنِ اَلْأَذَانِ فَقَالَ
«اِجْهَرْ وَ اِرْفَعْ بِهِ صَوْتَكَ فَإِذَا أَقَمْتَ فَدُونَ ذَلِكَ وَ لاَ تَنْتَظِرْ بِأَذَانِكَ وَ إِقَامَتِكَ إِلاَّ دُخُولَ وَقْتِ اَلصَّلاَةِ وَ اُحْدُرْ إِقَامَتَكَ حَدْراً.

Imam Ali (AS) said, Ask me before you lose me, for by Allah, there is no verse in the Quran but that I know about whom it was revealed and where it was revealed, in the plains or on the mountains, and indeed my Lord has gifted me with an intelligent heart and an eloquent tongue.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : سَلُوني قَبْلَ أنْ تَفْقِدُوني فَوَ اللّهِ ما في القُرآنِ آيَةٌ إلاّ وَ أنَا أعْلَمُ فِيمَنْ نَزَلَتْ وَ أيْنَ نَزَلَتْ في سَهْل أوْ في جَبَل وَ إنَّ رَبِّي وَهَبَ لِي قَلْباً عَقُولاً وَلِساناً ناطِقاً

hadith 1857
7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from certain persons of his people from Mu‘awiyah ibn Wahab who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), once saw me carrying grass. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is undesirable for a man of dignity to carry lowly things, thus people become bold against him.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ
رَآنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) وَ أَنَا أَحْمِلُ بَقْلًا فَقَالَ يُكْرَهُ لِلرَّجُلِ السَّرِيِّ أَنْ يَحْمِلَ الشَّيْ‏ءَ الدَّنِيَّ فَيُجْتَرَأَ عَلَيْهِ .

Hadith.3508 - Al-Hasan ibn Mahbub narrated from Wahb ibn Abd Rabbih, from Abu Abdullah (as) regarding a man who married his Umm al-Walad (a female slave who bore him a child) to his slave, and then the master died. Imam (as) said
"She has no choice regarding the slave. She remains a slave belonging to the heirs."
3508 - وَ رَوَى اَلْحَسَنُ بْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ
فِي رَجُلٍ زَوَّجَ أُمَّ وَلَدٍ لَهُ عَبْداً لَهُ ثُمَّ مَاتَ اَلسَّيِّدُ قَالَ "لاَ خِيَارَ لَهَا عَلَى اَلْعَبْدِ هِيَ مَمْلُوكَةٌ لِلْوَرَثَةِ".

Hadith.5851 - Ibn Abi Umayr narrated from Abu Ziyad Al-Nahdi, from Abdullah ibn Wahb, from Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as), who said
"It is sufficient as a form of support from Allah (swt) for the believer, that he sees his enemy engaging in acts of disobedience to Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic."
5851 - وَ رَوَى اِبْنُ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي زِيَادٍ اَلنَّهْدِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنِ اَلصَّادِقِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
"حَسْبُ اَلْمُؤْمِنِ مِنَ اَللَّهِ نُصْرَةً أَنْ يَرَى عَدُوَّهُ يَعْمَلُ بِمَعَاصِي اَللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ".

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn Isma‘il from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Mu‘wiya ibn Wahab who has said that asked the following from abu Ja‘far (a.s.), “What is the sign of being A number of our people has narrated from Imam after the preceding Imam (a.s.)?” The Imam (a.s.) said
“ Being of pure birth, good up bringing and that he would not trifle or engage in amusement.”
4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لابي جعفر (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) مَا عَلامَةُ الامَامِ الَّذِي بَعْدَ الامَامِ فَقَالَ طَهَارَةُ الْوِلادَةِ وَحُسْنُ الْمَنْشَإِ وَلا يَلْهُو وَلا يَلْعَبُ.

10. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus from Mu‘awiyah ibn Wahab who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, about sleeping in Masjid al-Haram and Masjid of the Holy prophet. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, they can do so, where else can people sleep?”’
10ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ النَّوْمِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَمَسْجِدِ النَّبِيِّ (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) قَالَ نَعَمْ فَأَيْنَ يَنَامُ النَّاسُ.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Wahab ibn ‘ Abd Rabbihi who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), if al-Hajj can be performed on behalf of one hostile to ’A’immah. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, it cannot be performed.’ I then asked, ‘Even if he is my father?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘If he is your father it is permissible.’”
1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) أَ يَحُجُّ الرَّجُلُ عَنِ النَّاصِبِ فَقَالَ لا فَقُلْتُ فَإِنْ كَانَ أَبِي قَالَ فَإِنْ كَانَ أَبَاكَ فَنَعَمْ.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from Mu‘awiyah ibn Wahab from ‘Abd al-‘A’la’ who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘The most virtuous charity is that which is given from someone without need (wealthy).’”
2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) أَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَةِ صَدَقَةٌ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى.

hadith 847
1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father from Wahab who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin would say, ‘Deposit or down payment is not permissible unless it is the cash portion of the price of the goods purchased.’”
1- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
كَانَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) يَقُولُ لا يَجُوزُ الْعَرَبُونُ إِلا أَنْ يَكُونَ نَقْداً مِنَ الثَّمَنِ.

By this isnad from Ahmad b. Muhammad from `Uthman b. `Isa from Wahb from Shihab b. `Abd Rabbih from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq (as). He said
Whoever says "Allah knows" regarding something that he does not know, the Throne shakes out of the greatness of Allah.
13 - وبهذا الاسناد، عن أحمد بن محمد، عن عثمان بن عيسى، عن وهب، عن شهاب بن عبد ربه، عن أبي عبد الله الصادق (عليه السلام)، قال
من قال الله يعلم، فيما لم يعلم، اهتز العرش إعظاما له (3).

hadith 672
Hadith.672 - Muawiya ibn Wahb narrated from Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) that
He said: "The muezzin would come to The Prophet (sw) during the intense heat at the time of the Dhuhr prayer, and the Messenger of Allah (sw) would tell him, 'Cool down, cool down (abride abride).'"
672 - وَ رَوَى مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «كَانَ اَلْمُؤَذِّنُ يَأْتِي اَلنَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ فِي اَلْحَرِّ فِي صَلاَةِ اَلظُّهْرِ فَيَقُولُ لَهُ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ «أَبْرِدْ أَبْرِدْ ».

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “Billaur is an excellent gem.”
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِدْرِیسَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ الرَّیَّانِ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَعْرُوفِ بِابْنِ وَهْبٍ الْعَبْدِیِّ قَرْیَهٌ مِنْ قُرَی وَاسِطٍ یَرْفَعُهُ إِلَی أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ
نِعْمَ الْفَصُّ الْبِلَّوْرُ.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ibn Mahbub from Mu’awiyah ibn Wahab from Mu’adh ibn Muslim from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Friendliness is a blessing and detachment is evil.’”
4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) الرِّفْقُ يُمْنٌ وَالْخُرْقُ شُؤْمٌ.

4. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ‘Abd Allah al-Mu’min from Mu‘awiyah ibn Wahab who has narrated the following
“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘Any judge who issues a judgment between the two and makes a mistake, he falls into a depth farther than the sky.’”
4- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُؤْمِنِ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ أَيُّ قَاضٍ قَضَى بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ فَأَخْطَأَ سَقَطَ أَبْعَدَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ.

3. Ḥukaym ibn Dāwūd narrated to me from Salamah, from Mūsā ibn ‘Umar, from Ghassān Al-Basri, from Mu’āwiyah ibn Wahab, who said
Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Do not neglect going to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain (a.s.). Do you not like to be among those for whom the angels pray?!
3 حَدَّثَنِي حَكِيمُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ حَسَّانَ [غَسَّانَ] الْبَصْرِيِّ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ
لَا تَدَعْ زِيَارَةَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) أَ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ تَكُونَ فِيمَنْ تَدْعُو لَهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ

9. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin would read, ‘. . . I am afraid for my dependents after me,’ (19:6) meaning that he had no heirs until Allah granted him (an heir) after his becoming very old.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) أَنَّ
أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) كَانَ يَقْرَأُ وَ إِنِّي خِفْتُ الْمَوالِيَ مِنْ وَرائِي يَعْنِي أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَارِثٌ حَتَّى وَهَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بَعْدَ الْكِبَرِ .

23. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad al-Ash’ariy has narrated from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Amir Ali ibn Mahziyar from Fadalah ibn Ayyub and Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Mu‘awiyah ibn Wahab who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the most excellent time for al-Witr. He (the Imam) said, ‘Dawn is the beginning of it.”
23ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ وَحَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنْ أَفْضَلِ سَاعَاتِ الْوَتْرِ فَقَالَ الْفَجْرُ أَوَّلُ ذَلِكَ.
