Hadith.5739 - Ali ibn Mahziyar narrated from Fadalah from Aban from Al-Fadl ibn Abd Al-Malik who said
I asked Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) about a male and female slave - do they prevent others from inheriting if they themselves do not inherit? Imam (as) replied: "No."
5739 - وَ رَوَى عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنِ اَلْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اَلْمَلِكِ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَنِ اَلْمَمْلُوكِ وَ اَلْمَمْلُوكَةِ هَلْ يَحْجُبَانِ إِذَا لَمْ يَرِثَا قَالَ "لاَ".

4. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from ‘Abd Allah ibn Bukayr from abu Basir who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about wine which is turned into vinegar. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful if one has not placed in it what overwhelms it.’”
عَنْهُ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الْخَمْرِ تُجْعَلُ خَلًّا قَالَ لَا بَأْسَ إِذَا لَمْ يُجْعَلْ فِيهَا مَا يَغْلِبُهَا .

3.Faḍālah narrated from Dāwūd ibn Farqad who said
“I told Abū ʿAbdillāh (a), ‘By your right,[1] this world and what it contains does not please me.’ He said, ‘Fie upon this world and what it contains! And what is it O Dāwūd? Is it anything other than two pieces of cloth and that which fills your belly?’”

3. Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s.) says, “Salaat of Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-e-Qurbaan can be offered only in congregation.”
وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَهَ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ یَحْیَی وَ زُرَارَهَ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ع لَا صَلَاهَ یَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَ الْأَضْحَی إِلَّا مَعَ إِمَامٍ.

4. Through the same chain of narrators as that of the previous Hadith it is narrated from Fadalah from Aban from Zurarah who has said the following
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about a man who performs the morning Salah (prayer) during the night mistakenly because of moon light and then goes to sleep until sunrise and he then is informed of having performed his morning Salah (prayer) during the night, has said, ‘He must perform it again.’”
4ـ وَبِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام)
فِي رَجُلٍ صَلَّى الْغَدَاةَ بِلَيْلٍ غَرَّهُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْقَمَرُ وَنَامَ حَتَّى طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَأُخْبِرَ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى بِلَيْلٍ قَالَ يُعِيدُ صَلاَتَهُ.

4. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from Mu’awiyah ibn ‘Ammar from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.) would say, ‘I love to continue a good deed even if it is very little.’”
4ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
كَانَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) يَقُولُ إِنِّي لأحِبُّ أَنْ أُدَاوِمَ عَلَى الْعَمَلِ وَإِنْ قَلَّ.

6. With this chain of narrators, from Hussain bin Sa’eed, from Fadala, from Aban, from Abu’l-Jaroud, from one of the two, peace be upon them both, with regards to the saying of Allah, Exalted and Glorious is He: «And by the witness, and by what is to be witnessed» (85:3). He said
The witness is Friday, that which is to be witnessed is the Day of Arafah and that which is promised is the Day of Resurrection.
وبهذا الاسناد، عن الحسين بن سعيد، عن فضالة، عن أبان، عن أبي الجارود عن أحدهما عليهما السلام في قول الله عز وجل: " وشاهد ومشهود " قال
الشاهد يوم الجمعة والمشهود يوم عرفة والموعود يوم القيامة.

hadith 138
6. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from al-Qasim ibn Burayd from abu Basir who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Of the Sunnah of prophets is draining al-Istinja’ (one’s urine) and circumcision.’”
وَ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ بُرَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
مِنْ سُنَنِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ الِاسْتِنْجَاءُ وَ الْخِتَانُ .

Hadith.3554 - In a narration reported by Fadalah from Aban, Abu Abdullah (as) said
"Regarding a child who grows up and chooses Christianity while one of his parents is a Christian or both of them are Muslims, he is not to be left (in that state), but rather he is compelled to follow Islam."
3554 - وَ رَوَى فَضَالَةُ عَنْ أَبَانٍ أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
فِي اَلصَّبِيِّ إِذَا شَبَّ فَاخْتَارَ اَلنَّصْرَانِيَّةَ وَ أَحَدُ أَبَوَيْهِ نَصْرَانِيٌّ أَوْ جَمِيعاً مُسْلِمَيْنِ قَالَ "لاَ يُتْرَكُ وَ لَكِنْ يُضْرَبُ عَلَى اَلْإِسْلاَمِ ".

hadith 246
42. And with the former chain of narration from ‘Ali ibn Mahzyar, from Fadhalah, from Ismail from Abu Abdillah, peace be upon him, who said
Amirul Mu’mineen (as) used to say: "Awaken your heart by reflection and let your side forsake (long) sleep, and fear Allah, your Sustainer (by guarding against sins and evil)."
42 - وبالإسناد الأول عن علي بن مهزيار، عن فضالة، عن إسماعيل ، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال
كان أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام يقول: نبه بالتفكر قلبك، وجاف عن النوم جنبك ، واتق الله ربك.
hadith 275
7. And from the previous chain from al-Hussain b. Sa’eed from Fadhalah from Ibn Sinan from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said
“There is no Azaan or Iqamah for Salaat of Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-e-Qurban. Sunrise is their Azaan. As soon as sun rises, people should come out of their houses for Salaat. There is no Salaat before these two prayers. For one who does not pray these prayers in congregation no prayer is obligatory on him nor he has to offer their Qaza.”
وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَهَ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: صَلَاهُ الْعِیدَیْنِ رَکْعَتَانِ لَیْسَ قَبْلَهُمَا وَ لَا بَعْدَهُمَا شَیْ ءٌ. وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَهَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِی عُمَیْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أُذَیْنَهَ عَنْ زُرَارَهَ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ع لَیْسَ یَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَ لَا یَوْمَ الْأَضْحَی أَذَانٌ وَ لَا إِقَامَهٌ أَذَانُهُمَا طُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ إِذَا طَلَعَتْ خَرَجُوا وَ لَیْسَ قَبْلَهُمَا وَ لَا بَعْدَهُمَا صَلَاهٌ وَ مَنْ لَمْ یُصَلِّ مَعَ إِمَامٍ فِی جَمَاعَهٍ فَلَا صَلَاهَ لَهُ وَ لَا قَضَاءَ عَلَیْهِ.

8. Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from Aban from Muhammad al-Halabiy who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about Ghusl (bath) when one wants to throw pebbles. He (the Imam) said, ‘Perhaps you can take Ghusl (bath) but it is not of the Sunnah.’”
أحمد بن محمد، عن الحسين بن سعيد، عن فضالة بن أيوب، عن أبان، عن محمد الحلبي قال
سألت أبا عبدالله عليه السلام عن الغسل إذا أراد أن يرمي، فقال: ربما اغتسلت فأما من السنة فلا.

4. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Amir, from Ali ibn Mahziyar from Fadalah ibn Ayyub, from Aban from Muhammad who has said the following
“When Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), would see lice in Masjid he would cover it with sand.”
4ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ
كَانَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) إِذَا وَجَدَ قَمْلَةً فِي الْمَسْجِدِ دَفَنَهَا فِي الْحَصَى.

4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from Rifa’ah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is permissible for a woman to perform al-Hajj for her brother, and sister.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘She can perform al-Hajj for her son also.’”
4ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ رِفَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله
أَنَّهُ قَالَ تَحُجُّ الْمَرْأَةُ عَنْ أَخِيهَا وَعَنْ أُخْتِهَا وَقَالَ تَحُجُّ الْمَرْأَةُ عَنِ ابْنِهَا.

9. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from Rifa‘ah ibn Musa who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, about taking Wudu’ in Masjid and he disliked it because of defecation and urination.”
9ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ مُوسَى قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَكَرِهَهُ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ وَالْبَوْلِ.

كَانَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) يَقُولُ إِنِّي لأحِبُّ أَنْ أَقْدِمَ عَلَى رَبِّي وَعَمَلِي مُسْتَوٍ.

9.Faḍālah ibn Nizāz [1] narrated from al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbdillāh who said
“Abū Jaʿfar [al-Bāqir] (a) said, ‘One who refrains from [impugning] the honor of people, Allah will pardon him [and protect his reputation] onthe Day of Resurrection, and whoever restrains his anger from the people, Allah will restrain His anger from him on the Day of Resurrection.’”
فضالة بن نزار عن الحسين بن عبد الله قال
قال أبو جعفر عليه السلام: من كف عن اعراض الناس أقاله الله نفسه يوم القيامة ومن كف غضبه عن الناس كف الله عنه غضبه يوم القيامة.

hadith 261
10. Ḥukaym ibn Dāwūd narrated to me from Salamah, from ‘Ali ibn Sayf, from Bakr ibn Muḥammad, from Fuďayl ibn/and Faďālah, who said
Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Allāh has made it Ḥarām for Hell to burn the face of anyone who sheds tears (on us) when we are mentioned in his presence.
10 وَ عَنْهُ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ سَيْفٍ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ فُضَيْلٍ بن [زائد [وَ] فَضَالَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ
مَنْ ذُكِرْنَا عِنْدَهُ فَفَاضَتْ عَيْنَاهُ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَجْهَهُ عَلَى النَّارِ

hadith 173
10. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad and abu Dawud from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah from Aban from ‘Ubayd ibn Zurarah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If one vomits while his Wudu’ is valid, he should only rinse his mouth.’”
10ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
إِذَا قَاءَ الرَّجُلُ وَهُوَ عَلَى طُهْرٍ فَلْيَتَمَضْمَضْ.

6. Ahmad ibn Muhammad from has narrated from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah from Aban from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Sayabah who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘Can I plead (before Allah) in Sajdah (prostration)?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, you can do so. Plead for the worldly and the hereafter; He is the Lord of the world and the Lord of the life to come.’” (Hadith 6 is best explained by fatwa.)
6ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَيَابَةَ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) أَدْعُو وَأَنَا سَاجِدٌ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ فَادْعُ لِلدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ فَإِنَّهُ رَبُّ الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ.
