علي بن الحسين السعد آبادي: يروي عنه الكليني رحمه الله، وروى عنه الزراري رحمه الله وكان معلمه، رجال الشيخ فيمن لم يرو عنهم عليهم السلام (42). وتقدم عن الفهرست في ترجمة أحمد بن محمد بن خالد، أن أبا غالب الزراري، قال: " حدثنا مؤدبي علي بن الحسين السعد آبادي أبو الحسن القمي ". روى عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله، وروى عنه جعفر بن محمد بن قولويه. كامل الزيارات: الباب 36، في أن الحسين عليه السلام قتيل العبرة، الحديث 7. طبقته في الحديث وقع بهذا العنوان في أسناد عدة من الروايات تبلغ ثلاثة وعشرين موردا. فقد روى عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله، وأحمد بن أبي عبد الله البرقي، وأحمد ابن محمد بن خالد، وأحمد بن محمد بن خالد البرقي. وروى عنه أحمد بن محمد الرازي، ومحمد بن موسى بن المتوكل، ووالد الصدوق.
