عبد الله بن مسلم بن عقيل: قتل معه (الحسين عليه السلام) أمه رقية بنت علي بن أبي طالب (عليه السلام)، رجال الشيخ (9). وقال ابن شهرآشوب في المناقب: الجزء 4، في (باب في إمامة الحسين عليه السلام)، فصل في مقتله: " أول من برز من بني هاشم: عبد الله بن مسلم... فقاتل حتى قتل ثمانية وتسعين رجلا بثلاث حملات ". وعده الشيخ المفيد - قدس سره - في الارشاد، في وقائع عاشوراء، من المقتولين في الطف. ووقع التسليم عليه في زيارتي الناحية والرجبية.
