hadith 931
2. Ali has narrated from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from al-Sakuniy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that when a person is about to die, the angel of death ties him down; otherwise, he will not calm down.”
2ـ عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ إِذَا حَضَرَهُ الْمَوْتُ أَوْثَقَهُ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ وَلَوْ لاَ ذَلِكَ مَا اسْتَقَرَّ.

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfali from al-Sakuni from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Amir al-Mu’minin, Ali ibn abu Talib (a.s.) has said, ‘There are two kinds of motivations, one from Satan and one from the angel. The motivation from the angel is tenderheartedness and shaip understanding, and the motivation from Satan is confusion and hardheartedness.’”
3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) لَمَّتَانِ لَمَّةٌ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَلَمَّةٌ مِنَ الْمَلَكِ فَلَمَّةُ الْمَلَكِ الرِّقَّةُ وَالْفَهْمُ وَلَمَّةُ الشَّيْطَانِ السَّهْوُ وَالْقَسْوَةُ.

10. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father, from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that if a person fasts secretly, Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, says to His angels, ‘My servant has sought protection against my punishment, you must give him protection.’ Allah, the most Blessed, the most High, then assigns His angels to pray for the fasting people and in whoever’ s favor He commands them to pray, He hears and accepts their prayers.’”
10ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
مَنْ كَتَمَ صَوْمَهُ قَالَ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِمَلائِكَتِهِ عَبْدِي اسْتَجَارَ مِنْ عَذَابِي فَأَجِيرُوهُ وَوَكَّلَ الله تَعَالَى مَلائِكَتَهُ بِالدُّعَاءِ لِلصَّائِمِينَ وَلَمْ يَأْمُرْهُمْ بِالدُّعَاءِ لأَحَدٍ إِلاَّ اسْتَجَابَ لَهُمْ فِيهِ.

5. Ali has narrated from his father from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has narrated the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Allah has an angel whose legs are on the lowest earth. The length of his leg is a distance of five hundred years’ journey and his head is in the highest sky with a length of one thousand years’ journey. He says, “O Lord, You are free of all defects, O Lord, You are free of all defects, as ever You have been and how great You are!” He (the Messenger of Allah) then said, ‘Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, sends revelation to him saying, “One who swears falsely by My name does not know this fact.’””
5- عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) إِنَّ للهِ مَلَكاً رِجْلاهُ فِي الأرْضِ السُّفْلَى مَسِيرَةَ خَمْسِمِائَةِ عَامٍ وَرَأْسُهُ فِي السَّمَاءِ الْعُلْيَا مَسِيرَةَ أَلْفِ سَنَةٍ يَقُولُ سُبْحَانَكَ سُبْحَانَكَ حَيْثُ كُنْتَ فَمَا أَعْظَمَكَ قَالَ فَيُوحِي اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَيْهِ مَا يَعْلَمُ ذَلِكَ مَنْ يَحْلِفُ بِي كَاذِباً.

hadith 639
My father (ra) narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us from Ibrahim b. Hashim from al-Husayn b. Yazid al-Nawfali from Isma`il b. Abi Ziyad al-Sukuni from Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father (as). The Prophet (s) prayed over Sa`d b. Mu`adh and said
Ninety thousand angels including Gabriel (as) prayed over him, so I said: “O Gabriel, what made him deserve your praying over him?” So, he said: “He would read qul huwallahu ahad whenever he stood, sat, rode, walked, went, and came back.”
5 - حدثنا أبي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثني سعد بن عبد الله، عن إبراهيم بن هاشم، عن الحسين بن يزيد النوفلي، عن إسماعيل بن أبي زياد السكوني، عن جعفر ابن محمد، عن أبيه (عليهما السلام): أن النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله) صلى على سعد بن معاذ، فقال
لقد وافى من الملائكة للصلاة عليه تسعون ألف ملك، وفيهم جبرئيل يصلون عليه. فقلت: يا جبرئيل، بما استحق صلاتكم عليه؟ قال: بقراءته (2) (قل هو الله أحد) قائما وقائدا وراكبا وماشيا وذاهبا وجائيا (3).
