47-3 Muhammad ibn Al-Hassan ibn al-Waleed narrated that Muhammad ibn Al-Hassan al-Saffar quoted on the authority of Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Al-Hassan ibn Allan, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Qumi, “
I was with Ar-Ridha’ (a.s.) when I got really thirsty. I did not want to ask for water in that meeting, but the Imam (a.s.) himself asked for some water, handed it to me and said, “O Muhammad! This is cool water. Drink it!” Then I drank.
3 - حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الحَسَن بْنِ الوَلِيد قالَ: حَدَّثَنامُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الحَسَن الصَفَّار عَنْ أَحْمَدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى قالَ: حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الحَسَن بْنِ علان عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّه القُمِّيّ قالَ
كُنْتُ عِنْدَ الرِّضَا عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ وَفِيَّ عَطَشٌ شَدِيدٌ فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أَسْتَسْقِيَ فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ وَذَاقَهُ وَنَاوَلَنِي فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ اشْرَبْ فَإِنَّهُ بَارِدٌ فَشَرِبْتُ.

2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn ‘Allan from Hammad ibn ‘Isa and from Safwan ibn Yahya from Rib‘i ibn ‘Abd Allah from al-Fudayl ibn Yasar who has said the following
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘Of the things certain ones are of a longer timing and others are of shorter timing. Salah (prayer) is of longer timing. It can be performed earlier and later. Friday Salah (prayer) is of a short timing. On Friday its time is a Sa‘ah which then vanish. The time for al-‘Asr Salah (prayer) on Friday is the time for al-Dhuhr on other days.’”
2ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلاَّنٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى وَصَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
إِنَّ مِنَ الأشْيَاءِ أَشْيَاءَ مُوَسَّعَةً وَأَشْيَاءَ مُضَيَّقَةً فَالصَّلاَةُ مِمَّا وُسِّعَ فِيهِ تُقَدَّمُ مَرَّةً وَتُؤَخَّرُ أُخْرَى وَالْجُمُعَةُ مِمَّا ضُيِّقَ فِيهَا فَإِنَّ وَقْتَهَا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ سَاعَةُ تَزُولُ وَوَقْتَ الْعَصْرِ فِيهَا وَقْتُ الظُّهْرِ فِي غَيْرِهَا.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Tsa from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan Za’lan from abu Tsma’il; in a marfu’ manner’ has said, the following
“Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), would say, ‘Beware of swearing; it may make a merchandise easily sell, but it destroys the blessings.’”

كَانَ يَقُولُ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْحَلْفَ فَإِنَّهُ يُنَفِّقُ السِّلْعَةَ وَيَمْحَقُ الْبَرَكَةَ.

36. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan Ali ibn abu Za‘lan from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from ibn al-Tayyar who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Perform al-Hajj repeatedly and al-‘Umrah assiduously (or after every nine days). This expels the burden of poverty and death in wickedness.’”
36ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ زَعْلانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنِ ابْنِ الطَّيَّارِ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) حِجَجٌ تَتْرَى وَعُمَرٌ تُسْعَى يَدْفَعْنَ عَيْلَةَ الْفَقْرِ وَمِيتَةَ السَّوْءِ.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Hassan Za‘lan from abu Talib al-Qummi from a man, from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who said
“I asked the Imam (a.s.), ‘Has Allah compelled the servants to sin?’ The Imam replied, ‘No, He has not compelled them.’ I then asked, ‘Has He left all matters to them?’ He replied, ‘No, He has not done so.’ I asked, ‘Then how is it?’ The Imam then said, ‘It is a way of kindness from your Lord in between.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ زَعْلانَ عَنْ أَبِي طَالِبٍ الْقُمِّيِّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قُلْتُ أَجْبَرَ الله الْعِبَادَ عَلَى الْمَعَاصِي قَالَ لا قُلْتُ فَفَوَّضَ إِلَيْهِمُ الامْرَ قَالَ قَالَ لا قَالَ قُلْتُ فَمَا ذَا قَالَ لُطْفٌ مِنْ رَبِّكَ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan Za’lan from ‘Abd Allah ibn al- Mughirah from Hammad ibn Talhah from ‘Isa ibn abu Mansur who has said the following
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), once said to me , ‘O ‘Isa, I love that Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, see you in one al-Hajj to another al-Hajj and you are getting ready for another al-Hajj.’”
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ زَعْلانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ أَبِي مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ
قَالَ لِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ (عَلَيْهِما السَّلاَم) يَا عِيسَى إِنِّي أُحِبُّ أَنْ يَرَاكَ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِيمَا بَيْنَ الْحَجِّ إِلَى الْحَجِّ وَأَنْتَ تَتَهَيَّأُ لِلْحَجِّ.

8. Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Za’lan from al-Husayn ibn Bashshar from Hisham ibn al- Muthanna’ and Hanan who have said the following
“We performed Tawaf al-Nisa’ around the House but forgot the two Rak‘at Salat (prayer). When we arrived in Mina’, we remembered the two Rak‘at Salat (prayer). We then went to abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), and asked him about it. He (the Imam) said, ‘You must perform them in Mina’.’”
8ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ زَعْلانَ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ بَشَّارٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى وَحَنَانٍ قَالا
طُفْنَا بِالْبَيْتِ طَوَافَ النِّسَاءِ وَنَسِينَا الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ فَلَمَّا صِرْنَا بِمِنًى ذَكَرْنَاهُمَا فَأَتَيْنَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) فَسَأَلْنَاهُ فَقَالَ صَلِّيَاهُمَا بِمِنًى.

2. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan al-Saffar from Ya’qub b. Yazid from Safwan from Abdillah b. al-Waleed Nakha’i from Abdillah b. Ya’qub from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said
“Those who are biased have removed the necklace of Islam from their necks and thrown it away.”

مَنْ یَغْضَبُ أَوْ یُغْضَبُ لَهُ خَلَعَ رِبْقَهَ الْإِسْلَامِ مِنْ عُنُقِهِ.

3. It is narrated that Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said
“I like reciting this Tasbih every day after Salaat more than offering a thousand rakats of prayer daily.”

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع یَقُولُ تَسْبِیحُ فَاطِمَهَ الزَّهْرَاءِ ع فِی کُلِّ یَوْمٍ فِی دُبُرِ کُلِّ صَلَاهٍ أَحَبُّ إِلَیَّ مِنْ صَلَاهِ أَلْفِ رَکْعَهٍ فِی کُلِّ یَوْمٍ.

4. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan al-Saffar who said it was narrated to me by Ya’qub b. Yazid from al-Qummi who raised it to who said
“The Almighty Allah will assemble the bigots along with the ignorant polytheists.”

1. It is narrated that Imam Ridha (a.s.) said, “
One who recites Ayatal Kursi before going to bed would remain safe of Paralysis and one recites it after every Salaat no poison would harm him.”
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْجَهْمِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِیمَ بْنِ مِهْزَمٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ
سَمِعَ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ع یَقُولُ مَنْ قَرَأَ آیَهَ الْکُرْسِیِّ عِنْدَ مَنَامِهِ لَمْ یَخَفِ الْفَالِجَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ وَ مَنْ قَرَأَهَا بَعْدَ کُلِّ صَلَاهٍ لَمْ یَضُرَّهُ ذُو حُمَهٍ.

2. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan al-Saffar from Ya’qub b. Yazid from Hamad b. Isa from Hareez who raised it to who said
An infallible Imam says that every innovation is misguidance and every misguidance leads to Hell.

کُلُّ بِدْعَهٍ ضَلَالَهٌ وَ کُلُّ ضَلَالَهٍ سَبِیلُهَا النَّارُ.

Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, forbade the eating of clay. I was told of that by Muhammed bin Hasan, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said: We were told by Muhammed bin Hasan al-Saffar, from Ahmad bin Abi Abdillah.
