“Al-Qa’im does not appear until a caller from the Heaven will call out that everyone in the east and in the west will hear the call even the girls in their veils.”

the Messenger of Allah (sw) said, “Seek goodness in the company of those with pleasant faces, for indeed their actions are more likely to be good.”

“I heard Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq (as) saying: No, by Allah! Allah does not leave this matter aside unless He specifies ones, who will undertake it until the Day of Resurrection.”

‘You must not marry al-Zanj and al-Khazar; they have such wombs that indicate disloyalty.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Of Indians, al-Sind and al-Qand - meaning al-Qandahar - a hybrid does not exist among them.’

“He (the Imam) (a.s.), has said that once a man came to the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, and said, ‘I have never kissed a child.’ When he left, the Messenger of Allah said, ‘This man to me is one of the people of hellfire.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), once said, ‘Buy a donkey which will carry your luggage and its sustenance is with Allah/ He (the narrator) has said, ‘I then found a donkey. Yunus, my brother and I at the end of the year would do our accounts and we found that there was no difference in our budget and no increase over the expenses of other years.’”

“He (the Imam) (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘One who neglects marriage because of his fear to feed his dependents has become cynical about Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, who has said, “If they are poor Allah makes rich through His generosity.’”” (24: 32)

I asked `A’isha about `Ali b. Abi Talib (as), so she said: That is the best of people; no one disputes that except a disbeliever.

“Once I said to Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) ‘We narrate it from abu Ja’far (a.s.) about the words of Yusuf, “O people of the camels, you are thieves.” (12:70) The Imam said, ‘By Allah, they did not steal and he did not lie.’

Those who have wept [excessively] are five – Adam, Ya`qub, Yusuf, Fatima bt. Muhammad (s) and `Ali b. al-Husayn (as). As to Adam, he wept over Paradise until his cheeks became like valleys (i.e. curved, sunk in). As to Ya`qub, he wept over Yusuf until his vision left and until he was told: “By Allah! You shall not cease to remember Yusuf until you become sick to the hilt or you are of those who perish” (12:85). As to Yusuf, he wept over Ya`qub until the inhabitants of the prison were hurt by it and they said: Either you weep by day and be silent at night or that you weep by night and be silent in the daytime. So, he agreed to one of those two with them. As to Fatima bt. Muhammad (s), she wept over the Messenger of Allah (s) until the people of Medina were troubled due to it. And they said to her: “You give us trouble through the excess of your crying.” So, she went out towards the graves of the martyrs and wept until her need was accomplished; then she would depart. And as to `Ali b. al-Husayn, he wept over al-Husayn (as) for twenty years or forty years. And food would not be placed in front of him, but he would weep until a retainer of his said to him: “May I be ransomed for you, O son of the Messenger of Allah! I fear for you lest you be of those who perish (i.e. due to the excessive crying and lack of nutrition).” He said: “I only complain of my sorrow and my grief to Allah, and I know from Allah what you know not. Surely, I do not remember the perdition of the children of Fatima but that I am choked with tears because of that.”

`Ali (as) said to me: This verse is for us or about us, “We wanted to confer favour upon those who were oppressed in the land and make them Imams and make them the inheritors.” (28:5)

“As if I see our Shia in the mosque of Kufa setting up pavilions to teach the people the Qur’an as it has been revealed but when our Qa’im appears, he will destroy it (the mosque) and level its mihrab to the ground.”

“The master of this matter (al-Qa’im) has a likeness to Prophet Joseph and his mother is a black bondmaid. Allah will make him succeed within a night.”

“…therefore hasten to (do) good works; wherever you are, Allah will bring you all together:” “It has been revealed about al-Qa’im (as) and his companions. They will meet together without an appointment.”

“The caller will call out that al-Mahdi is from Muhammad’s progeny. He will call out the name of al-Mahdi and the name of his father. Then the Satan will call out that the truth is with so-and-so (Uthman) and his followers.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘How is your telling funny stories for each other?’ I said, ‘It is very little.’ The Imam said, ‘Do not do so. Telling funny stories is of delightful moral discipline. You can bring joy to your brother (in belief). The Messenger of Allah would tell funny stories to bring cheerfulness feelings to a man.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah (saww) has said, ‘The best of your women are those who cook nice, smell nice, when spending she spends what is proper and withholds what is proper. That is a worker from Allah and a worker from Allah does not fail.’”

“Abu al-Hassan, Musa (a.s.), once said to abu Yusuf, al-Qadi, ‘Allah, most Blessed, most High, has commanded in His book about divorce and He has placed strong emphasis on the presence of two witnesses. He has not accepted anyone as witness other than two just ones. He has commanded in His book about marriage but He has left it (presence of witness) as overlooked. You, however, have established firmly the need for the presence of witnesses where He has overlooked, but you have invalidated the need for the presence of witnesses where He has placed strong emphasis (which is divorce).”’

Prophet, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, ordered to kill the two blacks during prayer. Mu’ammar said: I said to Yahya: And what is the meaning of the two blacks? He said: The snake and the scorpion.

When Fatima, peace be upon her, gave birth to Hasan, she brought him to the Prophet and he named him Hasan, and when she gave birth to Hussain, she brought him to him and said: O Messenger of Allah, he is better than him. So he named him Hussain.
