مهدي بن علي: الشيخ منتجب الدين في فهرسته: " السيد أبو طاهر مهدي بن علي بن أميركا الحسني، فقيه ". (إنتهى). وقال الشيخ الحر في التذكرة (1015) بعد ذكره: " ولا يبعد اتحاده مع سابقه، وكان بينهما أسماء كثيرة متوسطة، فلعل سبب إعادة ذكره النسيان ".
