“I once asked abu Ja’far (a.s.), about the case of a man who expresses the statement of al- Zihar about his wife, then divorces her before going to bed with her until she becomes stranger to him: if he owes expiation. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, expiation is not obligatory on him.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Whoever’s tongue is truthful; his deeds are clean and pure.’”

“I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about the case of one who suffers from an internal illness because of which is not able to control anal discharge. He (the Imam) said, ‘He continues his Salah (prayer) wherever in Salah (prayer) he is.’”

"The Month of Ramadan is thirty days and, by Allah (swt), it never decreases."

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘(In a funeral procession) walk in front or behind (the coffin).”’

“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘No other thing is attended by the angel as horse racing is and a man’s playing with his wife.’”

Tranquility is faith.

a man asked him, “May God settle your affairs! Why did you accept this affair and go to Al-Ma’mun? He was somehow blaming the Imam (a.s.) for this. However, Abul Hassan Ar-Ridha’ (a.s.) asked him, “Hey you! Please tell me whether a Prophet is nobler or a Trustee?” The man said, “Certainly a Prophet.” He (a.s.) asked, “Is a Muslim nobler or an atheist?” He replied, “Certainly a Muslim.” He (a.s.) said, “Indeed al-Aziz - the king of Egypt - was an atheist while Joseph (a.s.) was a Prophet. And Al-Ma’mun is a Muslim and I am a Trustee. Joseph (a.s.) asked al-Aziz to establish him as a leader when he asked the king of Egypt, “Set me over the store-houses of the land: I will indeed guard them, as one that knows (their importance)” But I was forced to do so. And when he (a.s.) said God’s words, ‘Set me over the store-houses of the land: I will indeed guard them, as one that knows (their importance).’ He said that since he knew well how to take care of it and knew all the languages.

“There are ten such virtues that one who meets God possessing them will go to Paradise. (They are) bearing witness that there is no God except Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, having faith in what Muhammad brought from Allah, establishing prayers, payment of Zakat, fasting in the month of Ramadan, Hajj of the House of Allah, faith and love of the friends of Allah, condemning the enemies of God and abstinence from all intoxicants.”

“One of the two Imam, (abu Ja‘far or abu ’Abd Allah), ‘Alayhim al-Salam, has said, ’If the dead person is one who refuses the truth say, ‘O Lord, fill up his belly with fire as well as his grave. Make snakes and scorpions dominate him.’ This is what abu Ja’far (a.s.), said about an evil woman of banu ‘Umayyah against whom my father prayed and said this expression, “Make Satan her companion.” Muhammad ibn Muslim has said that he then asked him (the Imam), ’For what reason snakes and scorpions are placed in her grave?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is because snakes bite her and scorpions sting her and Satans give her company.’ I then asked, ‘Will she feel the pain?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, very severely.’”

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who has a slave-girl and sets her free. She then marries and gives birth; if her first master can marry her daughter. He (the Imam) said, ’She is unlawful for him because she is his daughter, free and slaves are the same in this issue.’ Then he (the Imam) read this verse, . . the ones who grow in your care from your wives.’ (4:23)” Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from al-’Ala’ ibn Razin from Muhammad ibn Muslim from one of the two Imam, (abu Ja’far or abu ‘Abd Allah) (a.s.), a similar Hadith.

Hadith.434 - The Imam was asked about a Christian who dies while traveling among Muslims. Imam (as) said: "A Muslim should not wash him, nor bury him, nor give him any honor, and should not stand by his grave, even if he was his father."

Hadith.826 - Muhammad ibn Muslim asked Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) about a man praying without taking his hands out of his garment. The Imam said: "If he takes his hands out, it is good, but if he does not, there is no issue (no problem)."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘Curb the heat of fever with viola oil.’”

‘He is of the believing people.’”

"If a free man divorces a bondwoman and she completes part of her waiting period (ʿiddah) while still a slave and then she is freed, she must complete the waiting period according to the rules of a bondwoman."

"Commander of the Faithful (as) would assign the liability for the offense committed by a mentally impaired person (ma'tooh) to his family (Aqilah), whether it was accidental or intentional."

“I once saw abu Ja‘far (a.s.), when the barber trimmed his beard, he (the Imam) said, ‘Make it round.’”

"He should bow (in ruku') before reaching the congregation and then walk while in the bowing position until he joins them."

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), ‘has said, ‘Al-Adha’ is for two days after the day of al-Nahr (slaughtering the offering on 10th of Dhu al-Hajjah) and it is one day in the cities/”NOTE: Fatwa best explains Hadith 1-2 of this Chapter.
