And by this isnad. From Ahmad b. Abi `Abdillah from his father from Muhammad b. Sinan from `Umar b. Yazid. He said
I heard Aba `Abdillah al-Sadiq (as) say: Whoever prays for forty of his brethren before he prays for himself, it will be granted for them and for him.
8 - وبهذا الاسناد، عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله، عن أبيه، عن محمد بن سنان، عن عمر بن يزيد، قال
سمعت أبا عبد الله الصادق (عليه السلام) يقول: من قدم أربعين رجلا من إخوانه قبل أن يدعو لنفسه، استجيب له فيهم وفي نفسه (4).

2. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Musa who said it was narrated to me by Ali b. al-Hussain al-Sa’dabadi from Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah al-Barqi from his father from Muhammad b. Sinan from al-Muffadhal b. Umar from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said
“One who repeats ablution apart from prayers, the Almighty Allah forgives all his sin even without repentance.”
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَی قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ الْحُسَیْنِ السَّعْدَآبَادِیُّ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَرْقِیِّ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنِ الْمُفَضَّلِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ

1. My father (RA) said: Sa`d ibn `Abd Allah said, on the authority of Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn `Isa, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Sinan, on the authority of al-`Ala ibn Fudayl that
I asked Abu `Abd Allah al-Sadiq (AS) to interpret the Word of Allah, the Mighty and High: The nature made by Allah is which He has made men. He (AS) said: “It is Divine Unity.”
1 - أبي رحمه الله، قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى، عن محمد بن سنان، عن العلاء بن فضيل، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام، قال
سألته عن قول الله عز وجل: ﴿فطرة الله التي فطر الناس عليها﴾ قال: التوحيد.

2. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Muhammad b. Isa from Muhammad b. Abdulrahman from Muhammad b. Sinan from Abi al-Jarud who said
The narrator asked Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s.) who would be the first to enter Hell. He replied: Shaitaan, and to the left and the right of him will be one person each.

10. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Nu’man from Muhammad ibn Sinan from Yusuf (ibn) abu Ya’qub Bayya’ al-Arz from Jabir who has said the following
“I heard abu Ja’far (a.s.) saying, ‘A person repenting from sins is like one who has not sinned. One who persists in sin and asks forgiveness is like one contemptuous of it (repentance).”’
10ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ بَيَّاعِ الأرُزِّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ التَّائِبُ مِنَ الذَّنْبِ كَمَنْ لا ذَنْبَ لَهُ وَالْمُقِيمُ عَلَى الذَّنْبِ وَهُوَ مُسْتَغْفِرٌ مِنْهُ كَالْمُسْتَهْزِئِ.

34. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to us by Muhammad b. al-Hassan al-Saffar from Ahmad b. Muhammad from Muhammad b. Sinan from al-Hussain b. al-Mukhtar from Zayd al-Shaham from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said
“The reward of Ziyarat of Imam Husain (a.s.) is equal to that of twenty Hajjs and even better than that.”

زِیَارَهُ قَبْرِ الْحُسَیْنِ ع تَعْدِلُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ عِشْرِینَ حِجَّهً وَ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ عِشْرِینَ حِجَّهً.

(3) Abdul Wahid bin Abdullah bin Younus narrated from Muhammad bin Ja’far al-Qarashi from Muhammad bin al-Husayn bin Abul Khattab from Muhammad bin Sinan from Abul Jarood that Abu Ja’far al-Baqir (as) had said
“This matter (deliverance) is not carried out except by the obscurest and youngest one of us.”
3 - حدثنا عبد الواحد بن عبد الله بن يونس قال: حدثنا محمد بن جعفر القرشي قال: حدثنا محمد بن الحسين بن أبي الخطاب، عن محمد بن سنان، عن أبي الجارود قال
قال لي أبو جعفر: لا يكون هذا الأمر إلاّ في أخملنا ذكراً وأحدثنا سناً.

14. Abū ‘Abdil Raḥmān Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn Ḥusain Al-‘Askari narrated to me from Ḥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn Mahziyār, from his father, from Ḥasan ibn Sa’īd, from Muḥammad ibn Sinān, who said
Imam Riďā (a.s.) said: Establishing one prayer alone in the Mosque of Kūfah has more value than establishing seventy congregational prayers in any other mosque.
14 حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ الرِّضَا (ع) يَقُولُ الصَّلَاةُ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْكُوفَةِ فُرَادَى أَفْضَلُ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ صَلَاةً فِي غَيْرِهِ جَمَاعَةً

(4) Muhammad bin Ya’qoob narrated from some of his companions from Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Khalid al-Barqi from Ali bin Issma’eel from Muhammad bin Sinan that Hamza bin at-Tayyar had heard Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq (as) saying
“If there are no people on the earth except two, one of them will be al-Hujjah.”

سمعت أبا عبد الله يقول: لَو لم يبقَ في الأرض إلا اثنان لكان أحدهما الحجّة (أو الثاني الحجّة).

4. We were told by Muhammed bin Ali Majilawayh, may Allah be pleased with him, from his paternal uncle, Muhammed bin Abi’l-Qasim, from Muhammed bin Ali al-Kufi, from Muhammed bin Sinan, from Mufaddal bin Umar, that he said
Abu Abdillah, peace be upon him, said: The one who finds the coolness of our love upon his heart, let him recite prayer in abundance for his mother, for indeed, she did not betray his father.

hadith 1558
1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Muhammad ibn Sinan from ‘ Abd Allah ibn Muskan from Zurarah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is Makruh (detestable) to perform two Tawaf of obligatory nature together; but in the case of optional Tawaf it is not harmful.’ ”
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) إِنَّمَا يُكْرَهُ أَنْ يَجْمَعَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْنَ الأُسْبُوعَيْنِ وَالطَّوَافَيْنِ فِي الْفَرِيضَةِ فَأَمَّا فِي النَّافِلَةِ فَلا بَأْسَ.

18. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn Sinan from ‘Ammar ibn Marwan ibn Sama’a from abu ‘Abd Allah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, granted a favor to a people but they did not appreciate it and that favor turned against them in the form of a burden. He tried another nation with hardships and sufferings but these people exercised patience and the trouble turned into bounties for them.”’
18ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِنَّ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْعَمَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ فَلَمْ يَشْكُرُوا فَصَارَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَبَالاً وَابْتَلَى قَوْماً بِالْمَصَائِبِ فَصَبَرُوا فَصَارَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ نِعْمَةً.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Muhammad ibn Sinan from ‘Imran al-Za’farani from Muhammad ibn Marwan who has said the following
“I heard abu Ja’far (a.s.) saying, ‘If one learns that there is a certain reward from Allah for a certain act and he performs such act to receive such reward, he will be given the reward even if, in fact, the Hadith may not be as such that has come to him.’”
2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ الزَّعْفَرَانِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ مَنْ بَلَغَهُ ثَوَابٌ مِنَ الله عَلَى عَمَلٍ فَعَمِلَ ذَلِكَ الْعَمَلَ الْتِمَاسَ ذَلِكَ الثَّوَابِ أُوتِيَهُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنِ الْحَدِيثُ كَمَا بَلَغَهُ.

1. Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s.) says, “If the last deed of a person in his life is a fast he would directly enter Paradise.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَنْ صَامَ یَوْماً تَطَوُّعاً أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَی الْجَنَّهَ.

13. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) says, “Recite Tahleel (Laa ilaaha illallaah) and takbeer (Allaahu Akbar) often because Allah likes nothing more than Takbeer and Tahleel.”
وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِیِّ بْنِ یَقْطِینٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ وَ خَلَفِ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ جَمِیعاً عَنْ رِبْعِیٍّ عَنْ فُضَیْلٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُهُ یَقُولُ أَکْثِرُوا مِنَ التَّهْلِیلِ وَ التَّکْبِیرِ فَإِنَّهُ لَیْسَ شَیْ ءٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَی اللَّهِ مِنَ التَّکْبِیرِ وَ التَّهْلِیلِ.

عن محمّد بن عليّ ماجيلويه- رضي اللّه عنه- عن عمّه محمّد بن أبي القاسم، عن أحمد بن محمّد بن خالد، عن أبيه، عن محمّد بن سنان؛ و صفوان بن يحيى، عن إسماعيل بن عبد الرّحمن الجعفيّ الكوفيّ‌.

10. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Sinan from Mu‘awiyah ibn Wahab who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that one who is ready to guarantee to do four things will get four guaranteed homes in Paradise. They are: spending (for deserving causes) without fear from poverty, yielding to justice for people even against one’s own-self, offering greetings of peace loud and clearly in the world, and avoiding unneeded arguments, even if one is on the right side.”
10ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
مَنْ يَضْمَنُ أَرْبَعَةً بِأَرْبَعَةِ أَبْيَاتٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَنْفِقْ وَلا تَخَفْ فَقْراً وَأَنْصِفِ النَّاسَ مِنْ نَفْسِكَ وَأَفْشِ السَّلامَ فِي الْعَالَمِ وَاتْرُكِ الْمِرَاءَ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ مُحِقّاً.

4. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn Sinan from ibn Muskan from al-Halabiy who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of one who steps on feces or urine whether he must take Wudu’ again?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘No, but one must wash the polluted area clean.’”
4ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) فِي الرَّجُلِ يَطَأُ فِي الْعَذِرَةِ أَوِ الْبَوْلِ أَ يُعِيدُ الْوُضُوءَ قَالَ
لاَ وَلَكِنْ يَغْسِلُ مَا أَصَابَهُ. وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى إِذَا كَانَ جَافّاً فَلاَ يَغْسِلُهُ.
