“Abu Ja’far (a.s.) has said, ‘For everything there is a spring. The spring for the Holy Quran is the month of Ramadan.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘One who does not ask help from Allah, the Majestic, the Glorious, becomes needy and poor.’”

Whoever asks God for forgiveness seventy times after the dawn prayer will be forgiven by God on that day even though he commits seventy-thousand sins on that day. However, it will not benefit anyone who commits more than seventy-thousand sins on that day.”In another tradition we read seven-hundred sins instead of seventy-thousand sins.”

"He is not to be killed for that, but he should be severely beaten and exiled from his hometown."

“When one of you meets our Qaim, he should greet him in the following words: Peace be on you, Ahle Bayt (a.s) of prophethood, mine of knowledge and site of messengership.”

‘Call upon Me, I will answer you’. You have been given the assurance of acceptance of supplications. Seven angels are appointed for arresting each Satan so that none can overpower you till the end of this month. Know that, the doors of heaven are opened from the first night of Ramadan and that the supplications in this month are always accepted.”

“I heard Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) saying, ‘Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, does not accept an inattentive prayer. Whenever you may pray and plead before Allah for help, do it with an attentive heart and with certainty in its acceptance.’”

“I never had a child . I went to Makkah and did not have any children. A man met me and gave good news of the birth of a boy to me. I then went on and visited Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.). When I went before him (the Imam), he (the Imam) asked, ‘How are you and how is your son?’ I said, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, I left home but I did not have a son. My neighbor met me and said, “A boy is born to you .’” He (the Imam) smiled and asked, ‘Have you given him a name?’ I replied, ‘No, I have not given him a name.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Name him Ali; whenever a delay would take place in giving birth of any of my father’s girls he would ask her to keep her intention to name him Ali, then without much delay she would give birth to a boy.’”

“I saw abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), on the day of ‘Arafah in al-Mawqaf (the station) saying at the top of his voice, ‘O people, the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, was an Imam. Then Ali ibn abu Talib was an Imam. Then al-Hassan was an Imam. Then al-Husayn was an Imam. Then Ali ibn al-Husayn was an Imam. Then Muhammad ibn Ali was an Imam. Then, Hah.’ He then called three times toward his front, right, left and backside; twelve voices.’ I (the narrator) then went to Mina and asked Arab linguists about the meaning of the word “Hah.” They said, ‘It is an expression of banu so and so, meaning, “I am the one. Ask me whatever you want.” I then asked other Arab linguists and they also said the same thing.”

“Abu ’Abdillah (a.s.) said, ‘Perform two Rak‘at Salah (prayer) and ask Allah to choose for you what is good. By Allah, if a Muslim asks Allah to choose for him what is good, He certainly chooses for him as such.’”

“One who inscribes: Maashaa Allaahu laa quwwata illaa billaahi astaghfirullaah on his ring, will remain safe from devastating poverty.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Jesus would say, “Do not speak a great deal in things other than speaking of Allah. Those who speak a great deal in things other than speaking of Allah are hardhearted, but they do not know it.’””

“I heard the Messenger of Allah (ṣ) say, ‘Speech is of three types: the profitable, the sound, and the detrimental. As for the profitable [speech], it is that where Allah is mentioned. As for the sound [speech], it is that wherein what Allah likes is spoken. And as for the detrimental [speech], it is that in which people are spoken about [in a negative way].’”

“Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that if forty people take part in the funeral of a person and say the following: ‘O Allah, we do not know anything about him. All we know is good deeds,’ Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, will say, ‘I accept your testimony and forgive him for things that he did but you had no knowledge of.’”

Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace be upon him and his family) said: "Whoever's final words are 'La ilaha illa Allah (swt)' (There is no God but Allah (swt)) will enter Paradise. Whoever's life ends while fasting for a day will enter Paradise. And whoever's final deed is giving charity sincerely for the sake of Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, will enter Paradise."

“Once I said to Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) ‘I can visit you only once every several years. Teach me, please, something to which I can hold.’ The Imam said, ‘I advise you to be pious before Allah, restrain from worldly matters (sins) and work hard. Note it properly that hard work without restraint from worldly matters is of no benefit.’”

“I asked him (the Imam) to teach me a supplication when I suffer from pain. He said during Sajdah (prostration) say, ‘O Allah, O the Beneficent, O the Merciful, O Lord of lords, O Lord of gods (things worshipped), O the King of kings, O Master of masters, cure me with Your treatment from all ailments and diseases; I am Your servant who moves back and forth in Your control.’”

Whoever glorifies Allah (tasbih) Allah thirty times per day, Allah will repel seventy forms of calamity from him, the smallest of which is poverty.

“Once my father and I went to see abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), and my father asked him about Tasbih of Fatimah al-Zahra’, ‘Alayha al-Salam. The Imam said, ‘Allahu Akbar’ thirty four times. Then he said, ‘Al-Hamdu Li Allah’ up to sixty-seven. He then said, ‘Subhana Allah’ up to one hundred. He was counting all of them with his hand in one successive order to one hundred.”

“Abu Ja’far (a.s.) has said, ‘Sneezing is a good thing. It benefits the body and reminds one of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy.’ I then said, ‘Nearby to us there are people who say, “There is nothing in sneezing for the Messenger of Allah.” The Imam said, ‘If they are lying, the intercession of Muhammad will not avail them.’”
