“Verily, half of the angels of Allah, the Blessed and the Exalted, are in cold and half are in fire. They say: `O Combiner of Hot and Cold, keep our hearts firm in Your Obedience.’” The Compiler of this book says: Allah willing, I will publish the traditions which I have transmitted regarding remembering the Greatness of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, in the book `al-`Azamat.’

Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Allāh, the Blessed and the Exalted, has dedicated seventy thousand angels to Ḥusain (a.s.) who are disheveled and covered with dust who send blessings on him every day. They pray for those who come to his Ziyārah by saying, “O Lord! These are the visitors of Ḥusain (a.s.)! Do such-and-such for them and (reward them with) such-and-such.”

I heard my father say: Those who go to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) knowing his rights will be forgiven for all of their past and future sins.

“A servant cannot accomplish an action unless Allah, the Mighty and High, has granted him the ability of doing so. Verily, the legal capacity [taklif] from Allah has occurred after the ability. Thus, no one has legal capacity except for the capable.”

Sa'd ibn Abdullah narrated to us, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn 'Isa, from Al-Husayn ibn Sa'id, from Ahmad ibn Abdullah Al-Qurawi, from Al-Husayn ibn Al-Mukhtar Al-Qalansi, from Abu Basir, from Abdul Wahid ibn Al-Mukhtar Al-Ansari, from Umm Al-Miqdam Al-Thaqafiyyah, from Juwayriyyah ibn Musahhar.

Abū Ja’far (Imam Bāqir (a.s.)) said: Order our Shia to go to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.). Verily going to his Ziyārah increases sustenance, prolongs life, and keeps afflictions away. Verily going to his Ziyārah is obligatory on every believer who believes that Ḥusain (a.s.) is an Imam appointed by Allāh, the Great and Almighty.

"The Messenger of Allah (saw) turned to his companions and said: 'Take up shields.' They asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, is it from an enemy who has surrounded us?' He replied, 'No, but from the fire (of Hell). Say: Subhanallah (Glory be to Allah), Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah), La ilaha illa Allah (There is no god but Allah), and Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest).'"

4. The narrator says that he heard Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) say, “One who fasts on first of Shaban then surely, Paradise would be made obligatory for him. If he observes two fasts, the Almighty Allah would look at him with mercy in this world every day and night. He would also shower His mercy on him in Paradise. One who fasts for three days would get to visit Allah daily on the Divine throne in Paradise.”

O Aba Basir! We are the Tree of Knowledge. We are the people of the Household of the Prophet, and Gabriel descended in our house. We are the treasury of the knowledge of Allah. We are the deposit of the revelation of Allah. Whoever follows us is saved, and whoever turns away from us is destroyed – this is a responsibility on Allah.

Abu `Imran al-`Ijli said: Muhammad ibn Sinan said: Abu al-`Ala al-Khaffaf said: `Atiyyah al-`Awfi said, on the authority of Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, he said that The Messenger of Allah (sw) said: “Neither I nor anyone before me has said anything (with such worth) like: `There is no god but Allah’ [La ilaha illa Allah].”

O Sama’at! There are always four problems that a believer faces:1- A neighbor to bother him2- Satan tries to deviate him3- A hypocrite to always follow him and4- A jealous believer.” He (MGB) then added, ‘O Sama’at! Do you want me to tell you which one is the worst?’ I said, ‘Yes. Which one?’ The Imam (MGB) replied, ‘A jealous believer is the worst, because a jealous believer will say bad things about him, and others will believe him.’”

I heard Abu Abdillah saying near the grave of the Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny: "I beseech (Allah) Who selected and chose you, purified and guided you and through you guided the people: to bless you; Surely, Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet, O you who believe, you should invoke blessings on him and peace on him."

The Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, said: "O those who have submitted with their tongues, but their faith has not reached their hearts, do not pry on the faults of the believers and do not revile the Muslims. Surely, he who goes in search for the faults of the believers, Allah will pry on his faults; and when Allah does that, He exposes him in the inner most part of his house."

God’s Prophet (MGB) entrusted Ali (MGB) with a thousand doors each of which opened up to one-thousand words and doors.”

God’s Prophet (MGB) advised Ali (MGB) about one-thousand gates. Each gate opens up to one-thousand gates.”

May Allah make us sacrifices for you, what is it? He said: A good-smelling wind that departs from Paradise which has a shape like the shape of a human and stays with Prophets, peace be upon them. It is the one that was sent down unto Ibrahim, peace be upon him, when he built the Ka’ba, and it began to take such-and-such, and upon it he built the foundation of the Ka’ba.

"Whoever takes his need to his fellow brother for fulfillment, he enslaves himself; if that brother fulfils his want, he frees him from the bondage, and if he does not, then he humiliates him. In fact, both have been humbles; the giver for not being able to oblige, and the beggar for having asked." Then he recited the following verses. "A man who has had to put the honour of his face at stake, cannot be recompensed, And how can he be recompensed, when humility has caused him disgrace."

The Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, said: "O people, love ‘Ali because his flesh is my flesh, his blood is my blood. May Allah curse those people who have reneged from the covenant with me about him, and forgotten my parting counsel about him; and they have no share (of blessings) from Allah."

Indeed God’s Prophet (MGB) taught Ali (MGB) a gate which opens up to one-thousand gates each of which would open up to another one-thousand gates.”

“I heard Al-Ridha (s) say, ‘Whoever says the following supplication when he hears the morning or evening call toprayer and dies on that day or night has died having repented (and will enter Paradise): O my God! I ask Thee on behalf of Thy morning and Thy night, and the voice of Thy callers that You send Blessings upon Muhammad and his Household and that You forgive me as Thee are the Forgiver, the Merciful.’”
