"Yes, except in Mina on the Day of Sacrifice (Eid al-Adha)."

Hadith.42 - I found in the handwriting of Sa’d ibn Abdullah a narration attributed to Imam Al-Sadiq (as), in which He said: "Whoever experiences frequent forgetfulness in prayer should say, upon entering the restroom: Bismillāhi wa billāhi a‘ūdhu billāhi mina al-rijsi al-najsi al-khabīthi al-mukhbithi al-shayṭāni al-rajīm 'In the name of Allah (swt) and by Allah (swt). I seek refuge in Allah (swt) from the unclean, impure, evil, defiling devil, the accursed.'"

“One who leaves a part of his body equal to the size of a hair intentionally while performing Ghusl-e-Janaabat will go to Hell.”

Whoever deliberately leaves off a single hair from [purification after] sexual impurity, then he is in the Fire.

I heard a man ask Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) if one has to perform Ghusl before going to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.). Imam (a.s.) replied, “No.” The above Ḥadīth has also been narrated to me through the following chains: A) All of my scholars, from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain, from Ayyūb ibn Nūḥ, and from others, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Mughīrah, from Abil Yasā’, from Abī ‘Abdillāh (a.s.). B) Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn Ḥusain, from Ḥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn Mahziyār, from his father ‘Ali, from Ayyūb ibn Nūḥ, and from others, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Mughīrah, from Abil Yasa’, from Abī ‘Abdillāh (a.s.).

“If a believer gives ghusl to a dead believer and recites: Allaahumma haadhaa badanu a’bdikal mu-mini wa qad akharajta rooh’ahu minhu wa farraqta bainahumaa fa-a’fwaka a’fwak Allah forgives the sins committed by him in one year except for the greater sins.”

“One should make major ritual ablutions (ghusl) in fourteen circumstances:1- For the deceased.2- After becoming impure due to sexual intercourse.3- Once you perform the major ritual ablutions (ghusl) for the deceased and shroud the corpse, or when you touch the corpse after if gets cold.4- On Fridays.5- On the day of Eid ul-Azha.6- On the day of Eid ul-Fitr.7- On the day of Arafat. 8- On the day of wearing the Ihram (Taharrum) and entering the House of God.9- Upon entering the Ka’ba. 10- Upon entering the Shrines in Mecca and Medina. 11- On the pilgrimage day. 12- On the night of the 19th of Ramazan (on which one’s destiny is recorded). 13- On the night of the 21st of Ramazan (on which the Trustees of the Prophets have died, Jesus - the son of Mary (MGB) was raised up to Heaven and Moses (MGB) died). 14- On the night of the 23rd of Ramazan (which is hoped to be the Night of Power). ”

The Honorable the Exalted God has considered six characteristics to be undesirable for me, my Trustees from amongst my progeny, and their followers: playing while praying; coition when fasting; mentioning acts of charity; going to the mosque in a state of major ritual impurity ; looking into other people’s homes; and laughing in the graveyard.”

I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)), “Is it obligatory to perform Ghusl before going to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.)?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “No.” The above Ḥadīth has also been narrated to me through the following chains: A) My father, from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Abī Khalaf, from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain ibn Abil Kaťťāb, from Safwān (ibn Yaḥyā), from ‘Ǐs ibn Qāsim, from Abī ‘Abdillāh (a.s.). B) Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan, from Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan Al-Saffār, from Muḥammad ibn ‘Abdil Jabbār, from Safwān (ibn Yaḥyā), from ‘Ǐs (ibn Qāsim), from Abī ‘Abdillāh (a.s.).
