“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘On the seventh day from the birth of a child ‘Aqiqah must be offered. One leg and hip of the animal offered as ‘Aqiqah should be given to al-Qabilah (the special nurse, doctor) and the bones should not be broken.’”

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), ‘You must not shave, if you want to go for al-Hajj, in Dhu al-Qa’dah or in the month during which you want to perform al-‘Umrah.’”

“I once visited abu Ja‘far (a.s.). He (the Imam) ordered food. I ate a food with him the like of which I never before had seen in cleanness and elegance. When we finished our food he (the Imam) asked, ‘O abu Khalid, how was your food’ or that he (the Imam) said, ‘Our food?’ I said, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, I had never seen such a food in delicacy and cleanness ever before; but I remembered the verse which is in the book of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, ‘. . . on that day you will be asked about the bounties.’ (108:8) Abu Ja’far (a.s.), said, ‘No, you will be asked only about the truth in which you are, (belief in the divine authority of ‘A’immah).”’

no one dies from among the believers whose death is more pleasing to Iblis than the death of a Faqih.

“No scholar (Imam) has ever died before Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, would grant him the knowledge of to who must he deliver his will.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) once said, ‘O Sulayman, you follow the religion of one for whose silent abstinence Allah grants him honor, but due to his loud publicity, Allah causes his humiliation. ’”

"Among the rulings of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was: 'There is no liability (Jubar) for injuries caused by a mine, a well, or an animal.'"

“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, There are three kinds of hands: the asking hand, the withholding hand, and the spending hand, of which the best hand is the spending hand.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘People who quench themselves with intoxicating liquors in this world, die thirsty, will be raised thirsty, and will be sent in the fire thirsty.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not permissible to take an oath to make an unlawful matter lawful, a lawful matter unlawful or to cut off good relations with relatives.’”

And whatever is narrated from Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Ashim, I have narrated it from Muhammad ibn Ali Majilawayh - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from his uncle Muhammad ibn Abi Al-Qasim, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid, from Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Ashim. 1. Imam Ridha (a.s.) narrates that Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “Wear a Ruby ring for it puts an end to poverty.”

“I once asked al-Rida’ (a.s.), about the case of the three days’ fasting every month, if Qada’ (compensatory fast) is required from a traveler. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, he is not required to fast.’”

“I asked Abu ‘Abdillah (as), ‘What should I do if I meet a tax paying non-Muslim and he shakes my hand?’ He replied, ‘Wipe it with soil or against a wall.’ I asked, ‘What about one who is a nasibi (someone who hates the Ahlul Bayt)?‘ He said, ‘Wash it (your hand).”’

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Not to commit unlawful acts is a form of expressing thanks for a bounty. A complete expression of thankfulness is that one says, “All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds.””’

“A meal that (I may provide) for a Muslim brother (in belief) is more beloved to me than setting free a slave.”

Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Establishing one prayer in the Mosque of Kūfah is equal to establishing one thousand prayers (elsewhere).

“The will is accidental [muhdathah].”

“Is it permissible to say Allah is a thing?” “Yes, it is permissible because it excludes Him from being ignored altogether and from being analogized or considered similar to the creatures.”

“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘Women are given desires of twelve parts and patience of twelve parts.’”
