“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Accepting a bribe to issue a judgment is denial of the existence of Allah.’”

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘Two shares belong to the sisters from one’s mother if a grandfather is with them.’”

Praying is the best means to approach God for any pious person.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), would ask Shihab (ibn ‘Abd Rabbihi) to pay zakat due from him to his (Imam’s) servants. It is not permissible for them (’A’immah) to receive zakat, but it is permissible for their servants.”

And whatever is narrated from Bishar ibn Yasar, I have narrated it from Al-Husayn ibn Ahmad ibn Idris - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from his father, from Muhammad ibn Abi Al-Ṣuhban, from Muhammad ibn Sinan, from Bishar ibn Yasar.

Everything in this book that is narrated from Mubarak Al-Aqraqufi has been transmitted by me from Al-Husayn ibn Ibrahim ibn Tatana - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Ali ibn Ibrahim ibn Hashim, from his father, from Muhammad ibn Sinan, from Mubarak Al-Aqraqufi Al-Asadi.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Nine-tenths of sustenance is with the owner of a stumper.’”

Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Ḥusain (a.s.) said, “I am the Martyr of Tears.”

Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: The sacred boundary of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) is five parasangs from each of the four sides of the grave.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘In the month of Ramadan Allah forgives certain people except a drunk person, a chess playing person and a heretic.’”

“It is a responsibility for Allah to expose the house wherein sin is committed, to the sun to cleanse it (subject it to ruination).”

“About the case of a man whose clothes during going to bed with his wife fall off, abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not unlawful.’”

“I went to Lady Hakima, the daughter of Muhammad Ibn Ali Ridha (a.s) and the sister of Abul Hasan of Askar (a.s) in the year two hundred and sixty two. I conversed with her from behind the curtain and asked her about her religion. She named to me the Imams she followed and then she said, “And Hujjat Ibn Hasan Ibn Ali,” and mentioned his name. I said, “May I be sacrificed for you, do you say this on the basis of observation or on the word of the Infallible?” She said, “Words of Abu Muhammad, which he wrote to his mother.” I asked, “Where is then the son?” She said, “He is in hiding,” “To whom are the Shias to turn for guidance?” “To the grandmother, the mother of Abu Muhammad (a.s).” “Who has he emulated in assigning a woman as his deputy?” “He has emulated Husain Ibn Ali (a.s). Husain Ibn Ali (a.s) assigned his sister, Zainab binte Ali in the superficies. The learning and knowledge coming from Ali Ibn Husain (a.s) was attributed to Zainab Ibn Ali in order to maintain secrecy over Ali Ibn Husain (a.s). Then she said, “You are scholars of narrations. Have you not narrated that the inheritance of the ninth from the sons of Husain Ibn Ali will be divided during his lifetime?”

I heard Imam Ali ibn Musa Ar-Ridha (as), say: "'When the head of Imam Hussain ibn Ali (as), peace be upon him, was taken to Sham, Yazid - may Allah (swt) curse him - ordered that it be placed and a table was set upon it. He (Yazid) and his companions came forward, eating and drinking fermented beverages. When they finished, he ordered the head to be placed in a basin under his couch, and a chessboard was spread over it. Then Yazid - may Allah (swt) curse him - sat playing chess while mentioning Imam Hussain ibn Ali (as) and his father (as) and grandfather (sw), peace be upon them, mocking their remembrance. Whenever he gambled with his companion, he would take the fermented beverage and drink it three times, then pour the remainder onto the ground near the basin.' Imam (as) continued: 'Whoever is from our Shia should abstain from drinking fermented beverages and playing chess. And whoever looks at fermented beverages or at chess should remember Imam Hussain ibn Ali (as), and curse Yazid and the family of Ziyad. By doing so, Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, will erase his sins, even if they are as numerous as the stars.

My father Amir al-Mu’minin (as) narrated to me. He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Faith is declaration with the tongue, recognition with the heart, and implementation with the limbs. Hamza b. Muhammad said: I heard `Abd al-Rahman b. Abi Hatim say: I heard my father say: This hadith was narrated by Abi’l Salt al-Harawi (as) from `Ali b. Musa al-Rida (as) with a similar isnad. Abu Hatim said: If this isnad were to be recited over the insane, he would have been cured.

I heard Abu Ja’far (a.s.) saying that: ‘Yazid Ibn Muawiya (la) entered Al-Medina and he wanted to perform the Pilgrimage. So he sent for a man from Quraysh who came to him. So Yazid (la) said to him, ‘Do you accept that you are my slave, and if I wish I can sell you, and if I wish I can promote you?’ So the man said to him (la), ‘You are no more prestigious than me among the Quraysh in nobility, nor was your father more preferable than my father during the era of ignorance and Al-Islam, and neither are you (la) more preferable than me in the Religion, nor better than me. So how can I accept what you are asking of me?’ So Yazid (la) said to him, ‘By Allah (azwj)! If you do not accept me, I shall kill you’. So the man said to him (la), ‘Your killing me would not be greater than your killing of Al-Husayn Ibn Ali (a.s.) the so of Rasulallah (s.w)’. So he ordered that he be killed, may Allah Curse him. Then he sent for Ali Ibn Al-Husayn (a.s.). So he said to him similar to what he had said to the Qurayshi. Ali Ibn Al-Husayn (a.s) said to him: ‘Do you see that if I do not accept you, you kill me just as you (la) killed the man yesterday?’ Yazid (la) said to him, ‘Yes’. So Ali Ibn Al-Husayn (a.s.) said to him: ‘I have accepted to you (la) with what you asked. I am a humble slave (of Allah), so if you wish captivate me or if you wish, release me’. So Yazid (la) said to him, ‘It is of a higher level (referring to the one whom he had killed the day before) even if I (kill) or spare your blood it would not reduce your nobility.'"

When Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) came to Ḥīrah, he asked me, “Do you go to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain (a.s.)?” I replied, “May I sacrifice myself for you! Do you also go to his Ziyārah?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “How can I not go to his Ziyārah when Allāh goes to his Ziyārah?! Every Thursday night, Allāh descends to him with the angels, the prophets, the successors, and with Muḥammad (s.a.a.w.) – the best of the prophets, and with us – the best of the successors.” I asked, “May I sacrifice myself for you! Then should we also perform his Ziyārah on Thursday nights so that we can achieve (the status of) accompanying the Lord in performing his Ziyārah?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Yes! O Safwān! Stay committed to it (performing the Ziyārah of Ḥusain (a.s.) every Thursday night) so that going to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain (a.s.) is registered for you. Verily this is such a privilege. Verily this is such a privilege.”

Prophet (S) never made any mistakes when saying his prayers.” The Imam (a.s.) said, “May God damn them! They lie. The Only One who makes no mistakes is God - the One and Only.” Abi Salt al-Harawi added, “O son of the Prophet of God! There are people among them who think that Al-Husayn ibn Ali (a.s.) was not killed and God made someone else called Handhala ibn As’ad ash-Shami look like him (and be killed). And He raised Jesus (a.s.) - the son of (the Blessed Lady) Mary (a.s.) and the reason they present is by using the following verse, ‘…And never will God grant to the unbelievers a way (to triumphs)over the believers.’” The Imam (a.s.) replied, “They are lying. God’s Wrath and Curse be upon them! They have disbelieved in God by denying what the Prophet (S) has said about Al-Husayn ibn Ali (a.s.) being killed, ‘I swear by God that Al-Husayn ibn Ali (a.s.) will be killed.’ There is no doubt that Al-Husayn ibn Ali (a.s.) has been killed. Even the ones better than Al-Husayn ibn Ali (a.s.) - that is (Ali) the Commander of the Faithful (a.s.) and Al-Hassan ibn Ali (a.s.) were killed. There is no one of us who does not get killed. I swear by God that I will also be killed by being poisoned by a tricky unmanly person. I know this from the Trusted Covenant which we have inherited from God’s Prophet (S) that Gabriel delivered to him (a.s.) on behalf of the Lord of the Two Worlds. And the verse stated by the Honorable the Exalted God, ‘…And never will God grant to the unbelievers a way (to triumphs) over the believers’ provides the proof. This means that God has not granted the unbelievers any proofs superior to those of the believers. There is no doubt that the Honorable the Exalted God has informed us that the unbelievers have unrightfully killed the Divine Prophets without having any proofs or reasons. Thus God has not left any ways for them to have any proofs against His Prophets (a.s.).”The author of this book (Sheikh al-Sadooq) said, “I have recorded whatever has been narrated on the subjects of exaggerators and those who believe in turning over the affairs in the book Ibtal al-Ghuluw wal Tafweedh.”

Messenger of God (ṣ) said, "O' ʿAlī, give good news to your Shīʿahs and your helpers of ten distinctive characteristics. The first, they are of pure birth. Second, their faith in God is good. Third, God - Mighty and Exalted - loves them. Fourth, their graves shall be spacious. Fifth, the Path will be illuminated before their eyes. Sixth, the elimination of poverty from before their eyes and the wealth of their hearts. Seventh, God's detestation for their enemies. Eighth, they are safe from leprosy, vitiligo, and insanity. O' ʿAlī, the ninth is that their sins and transgressions shall fall away from them. And tenth, they shall be with me in the Garden, and I with them."

Hadith.2182 - Imam Ali ibn Al-Husayn (as) heard a beggar asking people on the Day of Arafah. He said to him: "Woe to you! Are you asking anyone other than Allah (swt) on this day? Indeed, it is hoped that even what is in the wombs of pregnant women will be destined for happiness on this day."
