Abū Ja’far (Imam Bāqir (a.s.)) said: Going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) is equal to performing a purified Hajj with the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.).

“We heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘ Al-Shuf ’ (one’s rights of pre-emption) is applicable only between two partners who have not concluded their partnership.’”

“The Holy Prophet has said, ‘The most beautiful thing in beauty is beautiful hair and the attractive tone of voice.’”

A man asked Imam Musa Kadhim (a.s) about the reappearance and he asked in return: “Do you want most of it or shall I give you a summary?” “Would you give me a summary?” he said. “(It will be) when the standards of Qays are carried in Egypt and the standards of Kinda in Khurasan,” he replied.

4. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “By Allah, Qaim of the progeny of Muhammad will kill the progeny of the killers of Imam Husain (a.s.) for the crime of their ancestors.”

24 – Muḥammad b. al-Ḥasan b. al-Walīd, Abū Jaʿfar. Thiqa thiqa.

Imam al-Hasan (AS) said, 'The giving of the alms-tax never diminishes wealth.

Imam al-Hasan (AS) said, ‘A man devoid of reason cannot have good manners.

Imam al-Hasan (AS) said, 'The greatest characteristic of chiefdom is giving before one is asked.

Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Even if you go to Hajj every year of your life but do not go to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.), you have abandoned one of your obligations toward Allāh and His Messenger (s.a.a.w.). Verily Allāh has made it mandatory (on the believers to fulfill) the right(s) of Ḥusain (a.s.), and this (Ziyārah) is obligatory on every Muslim.

When Abu Ja’far Muhammad bin Ali bin Muhammad bin Ali bin Musa (a.s) died, a chair or a platform was put for Imam Hadi (a.s) and the Imam sat on it. Abu Muhammad, Imam Hasan Askari (a.s) also stood besides the Imam. After he completed the funeral bath of Abu Ja’far, Imam Hadi (a.s) glanced at Abu Muhammad (a.s) and said: “God has made succession (rest) with you from Him. So praise God.”

“Al-Hassan ibn Jahm asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), for ibn Asbat; ibn Asbat and we all were present. ‘Should he travel by land or by sea to Egypt? Please tell him about the best road by land.’ The Imam said, ‘By land, but go to the Masjid in a time other than that for obligatory Salah (prayer). Perform two Rak‘at Salah (prayer) and ask Allah, one hundred times, to choose for you the best. Then see what comes in your mind, then act accordingly.’ Al-Hassan then said, ‘By land is what I like for him.’ The Imam said, ‘I also like for him by land.’”

I heard al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as) say: Whoever undertakes a matter from the matters of the people justly, opens his door, raises his curtain, and looks into the matters of the people, it will be a responsibility upon Allah to secure his splendour on the Day of Resurrection and bring him into Paradise.

I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)), “Why is it that some people who use the clay of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) benefit from it while others do not benefit from using it?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “No! I swear to Allāh, who there is no god but Him, that anyone, who uses it believing that he will benefit from it through Allāh, will benefit from using it through Allāh.”

I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)), “Is praying in the Mosque of the Prophet (s.a.a.w.) the same as praying anywhere else in Madīnah?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “No. One Salāt (prayer) in the Mosque of the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) is equal to one thousand prayers elsewhere. However, praying anywhere else in Madīnah is just like praying in any other city.”

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) says, “One who recites Qul huwallaahu ah’ad, innaa anzalnaahu fee lailatil qadr and ayatal kursi in a recommended prayer Allah would consider his deed best except for that person who has performed it more than him.”

I heard Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s) say: Twelve Imams from Aale Muhammad (a.s) were all Muhaddath and they were from the descendants of the Messenger of Allah (s) and Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.s). Thus the Messenger of Allah (s) and Imam Ali (a.s) are their fathers.

The Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) said: Those who want to live like me, die like me, enter the forever green Paradise, and hold on to the tree that my Lord has planted with His own hands, should follow ‘Ali (a.s.) and the successors after him and should submit to (believing in) their virtues. Verily they are the guides with whom Allāh is pleased. He has given them my knowledge and my understanding. They are my descendants who are from my flesh and blood. I complain to Allāh about their enemies from my nation, about those who deny their virtues, and about those who abandon me by (oppressing) them. I swear to Allāh that they will kill my son. May Allāh exclude them from my intercession.

“O' God! He tells me of Hassan who is oppressing me. But I forgive him. You too forgive him.” He kept on praying until he noticed his companion. He said: “May God bless you, too. Please go.” The man left. Later Hassan went to visit the Imam (a.s).

Abu Abdillah al-Sadiq Ja’far ibn Muhammad, peace be upon him, said: Among the words spoken to Allah to Musa son of Imran, peace be upon him, He revealed: "O, Musa! I have not created anything more beloved and preferred to Me than My faithful, believing servants. And when I try him, it is for his own good. I take away from him what he desires most, for his own good; and I grant him for his own benefit. And I know best what is beneficial for My servant. So, it is for him to be patient, when I try him, to be grateful when I bless him with My bounties, and he should remain pleased with My judgement. (Then) I write his name among My Truthfuls when he acts according to My pleasure and obeys My orders."
