10. The narrator says that he heard Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) say, “The reward of performing Hajj is more than freeing ten slaves.” Imam (a.s.) kept on counting till he said that the reward of the acts of Hajj is more than freeing seventy slaves and said that the reward of circumambulation and a two rakat prayer are equal to freeing a slave.”

Abū Ja’far (Imam Bāqir (a.s.)) said: Those from among our Shia who do not go to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) are lacking in faith and their belief is incomplete. And even if they enter Paradise, their position will be lower than that of the believers.

Whoever loves these two, their father, and their mother will be with me in my rank on the Day of Resurrection.

Prophet (MGB) told him, “Paradise is eager for you - Ali, Ammar, Salman, Abuzar and Miqdad.”

Love for me and my Household would be beneficial on seven occasions: time of death; in the grave; at the time of Resurrection; at the time of receiving one’s Record of Deeds; at the time of Reckoning; at the time of examining the good and bad deeds; and at the time of crossing the Bridge .”

I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)), “May I sacrifice myself for you! What is the reward and the recompense for those who go to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.)?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “O Shu’ayb! No one establishes prayers next to him without Allāh accepting it and no one prays for anything next to him without it being fulfilled (either) immediately or in the future.” I said, “May I sacrifice myself for you! Tell me more.” Imam (a.s.) replied: O Shu’ayb! The least (rewarding statement) with which a Zā`ir of Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.) will be addressed is: O Slave of Allāh! Verily your (past) sins have been forgiven. Therefore, start again with new deeds.

Ja`far ibn Muhammad (AS) from his forefathers that: `Ali (AS) reported the following regarding the Word of Allah, the Mighty and High: “Is the reward of goodness aught but goodness:” I heard the Messenger of Allah (sw) say, “Allah, the Mighty and High, has said: `The one whom I have blessed with belief in Divine Unity will have nothing but Heaven as his reward.”

I heard the Messenger of Allah (s) say: What can the reward of one who has been blessed with monotheism be other than Paradise?

Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: On the Day of Judgment, a caller will call out, “Where are the Shia of the family of Muḥammad (s.a.a.w.)?” A group of people whose number cannot be counted except by Allāh, the Exalted, will stand up and move aside from (the rest of) the people. Then a caller will call out, “Where are the Zuwwār of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.)?” A large group of people will stand up. They will be told, “Take the hand of whomever you like and take them along (with you) to Paradise.” They will take whomever they like (to Paradise) to such an extent that a person will say to one of them, “O so-and-so! Do you not remember me?! I stood up for you once (as an act of respect).” Therefore, the man will take him to Paradise without being stopped.

The Blessed the Sublime God would give seven things to any believer who fasts during the month of Ramazan for the sake of God as follows: God would melt down any flesh that may gave grown on his body due to eating illegitimate food; the Honorable the Exalted God would make him closer to His Mercy; his act would be considered as an expiation for the sin of his great forefather Adam (MGB); God would ease the hardships of death for him; he shall be immune from thirst and hunger on the Resurrection Day; the Honorable the Exalted God would feed him with pure Heavenly foods; and the Honorable the Exalted God would grant him immunity from the Fire (of Hell).’ I said, ‘O Muhammad! You speak the truth.’”

he said: Some individuals of the Jews came to the Messenger of Allah, (saww) and their most knowledgeable asked him, and among what he asked him is that he said to him: For what thing were you named Muhammed, Ahmad, Abul-Qasim, Bearer of glad tidings, Warner and a Caller? Then the Prophet (saww) said: 'As for Muhammed, then indeed, I am praised on earth. As for Ahmad, then indeed, I am praised in Heaven. As for Abul-Qasim, then indeed, Allah, Exalted and Glorious is He, will divide the Day of Resurrection into the division of the Fire, and those who disbelieve in me from the first and the last shall be in the Fire, and He will make the division of Paradise, and those who believe in me and acknowledge my Prophethood shall be in Paradise. As for the Caller, then indeed, I call the people to the Religion of my Lord, Exalted and Glorious is He. As for the Warner, then indeed, I warn of the Fire to those who disobey me. As for the Bearer of glad tidings, then indeed, I give glad tidings of Paradise to those who obey me.'"

Abū Ja’far (Imam Bāqir (a.s.)) said, “If people knew the reward for going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.), their souls would leave their bodies out of remorse and they would die yearning for it.” I asked, “What is the reward for going to his Ziyārah?” Imam (a.s.) replied: Allāh will register the reward of one thousand accepted Hajj, one thousand purified ‘Umrah, one thousand martyrs from among the martyrs of (the Battle of) Badr, fasting of one thousand people, one thousand accepted SADAQAH, and the reward of freeing one thousand slaves in the way of Allāh for he who goes to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain (a.s.) yearning for him. He will be protected for one year from every plague, the least evil of which is Shayťān. And Allāh will dedicate an honourable angel to him who will protect him from the front, from behind, from the right side, from the left side, from over his head, and from under his feet. If he dies in that year, the angels of mercy will attend (the rituals of) his ablution and shrouding and they will seek forgiveness for him. They will also follow him in his funeral while seeking forgiveness for him. His grave will be widened as far as he can see and Allāh will keep him safe from the pressure of the grave and from being frightened by (angels) Munkar and Nakīr. A door will also be opened from his grave to Paradise. On the Day of Judgment, his book (of deeds) will be placed in his right hand and he will shine with a light which illuminates everywhere from the east to the west. (On that day), a caller will call out, “This is a person who went to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain (a.s.) yearning for him.” Therefore, no one will remain on the Day of Judgment who will not wish he had gone to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain (a.s.).
