Hadith.4494 - Muhammad ibn Muslim asked Abu Jafar Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) about withdrawal (coitus interruptus). Imam (as) said: "The semen belongs to the man; he may direct it wherever he wishes."

“I heard Abu Jafar (a.s) say “In the decree of Allah ﷻ , there is nothing but good for a believer”

Feeding four Muslims is equal to freeing a slave from the descendants of Prophet Ishmael.

"When you finish your prayer, turn to your right as you leave."

"There is Qunoot (a supplication) in every two rak'ahs of the optional (supererogatory) and obligatory prayers."

"Protect your wealth through Zakat."

"One who fears robbers should perform their prayer by gesturing while on their mount”.

“Whenever you laugh loudly you should pray God not to get angry with you.”

“I wrote a letter to Abil Hassan Al-Kadhim (MGB) and asked about a man who makes love to a woman ten times - whether it be legitimate or not - on one of the days of the month of fasting - Ramazan. He (MGB) replied, ‘He has to pay ten times the expiation: an expiation for each time, and if he eats or drinks anything he should also pay for the expiation of one day.’”

O son of the Prophet of God! We like meat and our homes are not without meat. What should we do?” The Imam (s) said, “It does not mean what you thought. What is meant by meat is a house in which the people’s flesh is eaten by gossiping behind their back, and what is meant by a chubby person is one who is haughty and walks with his nose up in the air.”

O Shi`a! Do not weaken your necks by abandoning obedience to your sultan. If he is just, then ask Allah to maintain him, and if he is unjust, then ask Allah to rectify him, for surely, your rectification is in the rectification of your sultan. Surely, the just sultan is as a merciful father, so love for him what you love for yourselves, and hate for him what you hate for yourselves.

The Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, one day said to his companions: "Be it known that an evil from the bygone people has crept into you, and that is envy and jealousy. It does not shave off the hair, it shaves off the faith. A man can save himself from that if one controls his hands, spares his speech and does not slander his Mu’min brother." And may Allah bless our master, Muhammad, the Prophet and his pure progeny.

Al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: Tuba is for the one who adheres to our matters during the occultation of the one of us who Rises, by which his heart does not deviate after guidance. Then I said to him: May I be sacrificed for you, and what is Tuba? He said: A tree in Paradise whose origin is in the house of Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him, and there is no believer except that in his house is a branch from its branches, and that is the saying of Allah, Exalted and Glorious is He: «Tuba is for them and a good place of return.» (13:29)

On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will gather the people on one plane. The scales will be brought out, and the blood of the martyrs will be weighed with the pens of the scholars. The pens of the scholars will outweigh the blood of the martyrs.

“Once we left with abu Ja‘far (a.s.), to Ard of Taybah (name of a place between Makkah and al-Madinah) and ‘Amr ibn Dinar was with him (the Imam) as well as other ones of his people. We stopped at Taybah as long as Allah willed, and abu Ja‘far rode a difficult camel. ‘Amr ibn Dinar said, ‘Your camel is very difficult.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘You must take notice that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said the following. ‘On the peak of every camel there is a Satan, so you must degrade and make him lowly by mentioning the name of Allah on it because He is Allah who carries loads.’ He (the Imam) then entered Makkah and we also entered Makkah without assuming the state of Ihram (because of entering before the passing of a month from his previous Ihram).”’

Messenger of Allah (a.s.) has said, “If one speaks and his speech is something other than speaking of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, he is doing something useless. If one is silent and his silence is for something other than Allah he is forgetful.’” He (the Imam) then remained calm and the man left.’”

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), once asked me, ‘What is your Kunyah (father of so and so or son of so and so)?’ I replied, ‘I have no Kunyah yet; I have no son or wife or daughter.’ He (the Imam) asked, ‘What keeps you from having one?’ I replied, ‘It is a Hadith which is narrated from Ali (a.s.). ’ He (the Imam) asked, ‘What is it?’ I replied, ‘Ali (a.s.), has said, “If one adopts a Kunyah and he does not have a wife he then is father of al-Ja‘r (dried up dung).”’ Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), then said that it is forged and it is not of Hadith of Ali (a.s.). We give Kunyah to our children in their childhood for fear of bad names being ascribed to them.’”

Abu Ja’far Muhammad Ibn Uthman Amari had a number of books. He had written them on the subject of jurisprudence on the basis of his learning from Abu Muhammad Hasan (a.s) and the Patron (a.s) and from his father, Uthman Ibn Saeed, who had procured his knowledge from Abu Muhammad and from Ali Ibn Muhammad (a.s). They included books titled: The Books of Drinks. Kabira, mother of Kulthum, daughter of Abu Ja’far mentioned that the books reached Abul Qasim Husain Ibn Rauh at the time of the final will to him and remained in his possession. Abu Nasr says: I suspect she said that they reached Abul Hasan Saymooria afterwards.

There are two groups of people in my nation who have not benefited from Islam at all. They are the Boasters and the Qadarites .’”

There are five things that I will not abandon until my death. They are: wearing woolen clothes; riding saddled donkeys; eating along with other people; mending my shoes with my own hands; and greeting children. This is done so that these become common practice after me.”
