Ahmad b. Ziyad b. Ja`far al-Hamadani (ra) narrated to us. He said
`Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from his father Ibrahim b. Hashim. He said: Musa b. Isma`il b. Musa b. Ja`far b. Muhammad b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. `Ali b. Abi Talib (as) narrated to me from his father Isma`il from his father Musa b. Ja`far (as). He said to his Shi`a: O Shi`a! Do not weaken your necks by abandoning obedience to your sultan. If he is just, then ask Allah to maintain him, and if he is unjust, then ask Allah to rectify him, for surely, your rectification is in the rectification of your sultan. Surely, the just sultan is as a merciful father, so love for him what you love for yourselves, and hate for him what you hate for yourselves.
