2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn abu Hamzah from abu Basir who has said the following
“If one of us does not want al-Halwa’ he wants drink (which is sweet).”’
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
مَنْ لَمْ يُرِدْ مِنَّا الْحَلْوَاءَ أَرَادَ الشَّرَابَ .
hadith 2335
1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from ‘Abd Allah ibn Ja‘far from al-Sayyariy in a marfu‘ manner has said the following
“The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, that no other thing is better for the body than the oil of gladiola (lily), that is al-Raziqiy (a certain plant).’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنِ السَّيَّارِيِّ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ شَيْ‏ءٌ خَيْراً لِلْجَسَدِ مِنْ دُهْنِ الزَّنْبَقِ يَعْنِي الرَّازِقِيَّ .

hadith 185
7. Hanan ibn Sadir has narrated from abu Sara al-Ghazzal from Abu Ja’far (a.s.) who said
“Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, has said, ‘O son of Adam, stay away from what I have made unlawful to you, you then will be of the people who restrain themselves from worldly matters the most.’”
7ـ حَنَانُ بْنُ سَدِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَارَةَ الْغَزَّالِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ابْنَ آدَمَ اجْتَنِبْ مَا حَرَّمْتُ عَلَيْكَ تَكُنْ مِنْ أَوْرَعِ النَّاسِ.

Hadith.5415 - Abdullah ibn Al-Mughirah narrated from Al-Sakuni from Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) from his father, Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as), who said
"Whoever does not make a will for his relatives at the time of his death has concluded his deeds with disobedience."
5415 - رَوَى عَبْدُ اَللَّهِ بْنُ اَلْمُغِيرَةِ عَنِ اَلسَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
"مَنْ لَمْ يُوصِ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ لِذَوِي قَرَابَتِهِ فَقَدْ خَتَمَ عَمَلَهُ بِمَعْصِيَةٍ".

hadith 1405
Hadith.4620 - Muhammad ibn Muslim narrated from Abu Ja'far Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) who said
"Indeed, Allah (swt), the Almighty and Glorious, created desire in ten parts, nine parts in men and one part in women."
4620 - وَ رَوَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
"إِنَّ اَللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ خَلَقَ اَلشَّهْوَةَ عَشَرَةَ أَجْزَاءٍ تِسْعَةً فِي اَلرِّجَالِ وَ وَاحِدَةً فِي اَلنِّسَاءِ".

Hadith.4782 - Ali ibn Ri'ab narrated from Zurara, who reported from Abu Ja'far Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as), who said
"The compensation (mut'ah) for women is obligatory, whether the marriage was consummated or not. This compensation should be granted before she is divorced."
4782 - وَ رَوَى عَلِيُّ بْنُ رِئَابٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
"مُتْعَةُ اَلنِّسَاءِ وَاجِبَةٌ دُخِلَ بِهَا أَوْ لَمْ يُدْخَلْ بِهَا وَ تُمَتَّعُ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُطَلَّقَ".

13. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad from Rib’i from Zurara from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following
“ Al-Taqiyyah (protective measures) is for when and wherever needed and the one involved in it knows best how to apply it.”
13ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
التَّقِيَّةُ فِي كُلِّ ضَرُورَةٍ وَصَاحِبُهَا أَعْلَمُ بِهَا حِينَ تَنْزِلُ بِهِ.

Hadith.5611 - Al-Hasan ibn Mahbub narrated from Ali ibn Ri'ab from Zurara from Abu Jafar Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) regarding a man who passed away and left behind his parents. Imam (as) said
"The mother receives one-third, and the father receives two-thirds."
5611 - رَوَى اَلْحَسَنُ بْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رِئَابٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ
فِي رَجُلٍ مَاتَ وَ تَرَكَ أَبَوَيْهِ قَالَ "لِلْأُمِّ اَلثُّلُثُ وَ لِلْأَبِ اَلثُّلُثَانِ".

Hadith.2571 - Hariz narrated from Zurara, from Abu Ja'far (as), who said
"People used to adorn sheep and cattle with garlands, but they have recently abandoned this practice. They would garland them with a string or a leather strap."
2571 - وَ رَوَى حَرِيزٌ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
«كَانَ اَلنَّاسُ يُقَلِّدُونَ اَلْغَنَمَ وَ اَلْبَقَرَ وَ إِنَّمَا تَرَكَهُ اَلنَّاسُ حَدِيثاً وَ يُقَلِّدُونَ بِخَيْطٍ أَوْ بِسَيْرٍ ».

hadith 167
167. It has been narrated that Abu Ja'far (a.s) said
(Amongst) the qualities most loved by Allah are three: a Muslim who feeds a hungry Muslim, relieves him from a distress or settle his debt for him.
167 - وعن أبي جعفر عليه السلام قال
من أحب الخصال إلى الله عز وجل ثلاثة: مسلم أطعم مسلما من جوع، أو فك عنه كربة، أو قضى عنه دينا.

Hadith.648 – Zurarah narrated from Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) that
He said: "When the sun declines (from its zenith), the times for both Dhuhr (noon) and Asr (afternoon) prayers begin. When the sun sets, the times for both Maghrib (evening) and Isha (night) prayers begin."
648 - وَ رَوَى زُرَارَةُ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «إِذَا زَالَتِ اَلشَّمْسُ دَخَلَ اَلْوَقْتَانِ اَلظُّهْرُ وَ اَلْعَصْرُ فَإِذَا غَابَتِ اَلشَّمْسُ دَخَلَ اَلْوَقْتَانِ اَلْمَغْرِبُ وَ اَلْعِشَاءُ اَلْآخِرَةُ.

Hadith.5642 - Muhammad ibn Al-Walid narrated from Hammad ibn Uthman from Ismaʿil Al-Juʿfi who said
I heard Abu Jafar Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) say: "The grandfather shares the inheritance with the siblings, even if they were one hundred thousand."
5642 - وَ رَوَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ اَلْوَلِيدِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ اَلْجُعْفِيِّ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ يَقُولُ : "اَلْجَدُّ يُقَاسِمُ اَلْإِخْوَةَ وَ لَوْ كَانُوا مِائَةَ أَلْفٍ".

Hadith.5124 - Ali ibn Ri'ab narrated from Ḍurays from Abu Jafar Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) who said
"Whoever carries a weapon at night is considered a highway robber (muharib), unless he is a man who is not known for suspicion or wrongdoing."
5124 - وَ رَوَى عَلِيُّ بْنُ رِئَابٍ عَنْ ضُرَيْسٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
"مَنْ حَمَلَ اَلسِّلاَحَ بِاللَّيْلِ فَهُوَ مُحَارِبٌ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ رَجُلاً لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِ اَلرِّيبَةِ".

11. Ali has narrated from his father from ibn al-Mughirah from abu Jarir al-Qummiy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Abu Ja‘far would perform the Qada’ (compensatory prayer) twenty al-Witr in one night.’”
11ـ عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ أَبِي جَرِيرٍ الْقُمِّيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
كَانَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) يَقْضِي عِشْرِينَ وَتْراً فِي لَيْلَةٍ.

hadith 397
H 193 - It is narrated that
when Ja’far was born to Abul Hasan (a.s), people congratulated him, but they did not see any signs of joy in him. He was asked about it. The Imam replied, “Take his birth easy; he will misguide many.”
193- وقد روي
أنه لما ولد لأبي الحسن عليه السلام جعفر هنئوه به فلم يروا به سرورا، فقيل له في ذلك فقال: هون عليك أمره سيضل خلقا كثيرا.

Hadith.3288 - And Isma'il bin Muslim narrated from Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as), from his father, Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as), from his forefathers, peace be upon them, who said
"The testimony of one who harbors enmity or one who has a disgraceful reputation in religion is not accepted."
3288 - وَ رَوَى إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنِ اَلصَّادِقِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ عَلَيْهِمُ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
"لاَ تُقْبَلُ شَهَادَةُ ذِي شَحْنَاءَ أَوْ ذِي مُخْزِيَةٍ فِي اَلدِّينِ".

4. Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from ibn Faddal from Tha’labah ibn Maymun from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), said, ‘Woad has affected my molar teeth. 5 ”
أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) نَقَضَتْ أَضْرَاسِيَ الْوَسِمَةُ .

hadith 165
31-165 According to the same documentation, on the authority of Ja’far ibn Muhammad (a.s.) that
Muhammad ibn Ali (a.s.) was questioned about praying on a journey. He (a.s.) replied, “My father (a.s.) shortened his prayers while he (a.s.) was on a journey.”
165 - وَبِهذَا الإِسناد عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدعَلَيْهِمَاالسَّلاَمُ قالَ
سُئِلَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِى‏عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلاَمُ عَنِ الصَّلاة فِي السَّفَر، فَذَكَرَ أَن أَباهُ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ كانَ يُقَصِّرُ الصَّلاةَ فِي السَّفَرِ.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Muhammad ibn Sinan from ‘Ammar ibn Marwan from Jabir who has said the following

2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
تَمَامُ الْحَجِّ لِقَاءُ الإِمَامِ.

Hadith.5684 - Asim ibn Humeid narrated from Muhammad ibn Qays, from Abu Jafar Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as), who said
"If a man kills his mother by mistake, he inherits from her. However, if he kills her intentionally, he does not inherit from her."
5684 - وَ رَوَى عَاصِمُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
"إِذَا قَتَلَ اَلرَّجُلُ أُمَّهُ خَطَأً وَرِثَهَا وَ إِنْ قَتَلَهَا عَمْداً لَمْ يَرِثْهَا".
