I wrote to Abu al-Hasan al-Naqi (AS) informing him that the people differed on the subject of Divine Unity. Some of them say “He has a body” while others say that “He has an image.” So, he (AS) wrote (back): “Glory be to Him who has no limit, who cannot be described, and with whom nothing resembles! Nothing whatsoever is like unto Him. And He is the All-Hearing and the All-Seeing.”

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘I am a human being like you. I marry from you and give in marriage to you except Fatimah, ‘Alayha al-Salam, because her marriage came from the heaven.’”

I wrote to Abi Abdillah عليه السلام asking him to supplicate to Allah that He makes me among those through whom he gives victory to His religion - but he did not answer me. I became saddened because of that. Yunus said: One of our companions later informed me that he had written to him with a similar request and was answered by him [the Imam] who wrote at the bottom of the letter ‘May Allah have mercy on you, verily Allah gives victory to His religion via the worst of his creatures’

“Some things are inevitable and others are not. From among the inevitable things is the rising of as-Sufyani in Rajab.”

“One who bears witness saying, Laa ilaaha illallaah and does not say Muhammadur rasoolullaah gets ten rewards. However, if he says Laa ilaaha illallaah as well as Muhammadur rasoolullaah he would get a million rewards.”

Fatima was only named Fatima because Allah, Exalted and Glorious is He, separated those who love her, from the Fire.

H 373 - Saad says: When Muhammad Ibn Nasir was inflicted by the malady in which he died, he was asked, “To whom does this order belong?” He said as his tongue was heavy, weak, and stuttering, “Ahmad.” It was not known who this Ahmad was. His followers divided into three groups after him. One group said that it was his son, Ahmad. Another maintained it was Ahmad Ibn Muhammad Ibn Musa Ibn Furat. Another group believed that it was Ahmad Ibn Abi Husain Ibn Bushr Ibn Yazid. Their group disintegrated.

I heard Aba Abdillah عليه السلام say: give glad tidings of paradise to the humble: Burayd b. Muawiya al-Ijli, Abu Basir Layth b. al-Bukhtari al-Muradi, Muhammad b. Muslim and Zurara. Four possessors of nobility and the trustees of Allah upon his Halal and Haram, if it wasn’t for them the traces of prophethood would have perished and been destroyed.

I heard Aba Abdillah عليه السلام say: Give glad tidings of paradise to the humble – Burayd b. Muawiya al-Ijli, Abu Basir Layth b. al-Bukhtari al-Muradi, Muhammad b. Muslim and Zurara. Four noble-ones and trustees of Allah upon his Halal and Haram. If it wasn’t for them the traces of prophethood would have perished and been destroyed.

The Messenger of Allah (sw) said: “He who dies knowing that Allah is the Truth [Haqq] will enter Heaven.”

I saw the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) while Ḥasan and Ḥusain (a.s.) were sitting on his lap. He kept kissing Ḥasan (a.s.) and then kissing Ḥusain (a.s.) and saying to him, “Woe unto those who (will) kill you.”

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Once Moses was sitting when Satan came to him with a many-colored hooded cloak on him. When he approached Moses he took his cloak off, stood nearby, and offered him the greeting of peace. Moses asked, ‘Who are you?’ He replied, ‘I am Satan.’ Moses said, ‘Is it you? May Allah not bring you near by.’ Satan said, ‘I came to offer you greetings of peace because of your closeness to Allah.’ The Imam said, ‘Moses then asked, ‘What is this hooded cloak for?’ He said, ‘With this I kidnap the hearts of the children of Adam.’ Moses said, ‘Tell me which sin is it that when the children of Adam commit it you feel successful?’ He said, ‘It is when he feels self-important, his good deeds are a great deal and his sins trivial. ’ “The Imam said, ‘Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, said to David, “O David, give good news to the sinners and warn the true believers.” He asked, ‘How should I give good news to the sinners and warn the true believers?’ Allah said, ‘Give good news to the sinners that I accept repentance and forgive their sins. Warn the true believers against feeling self-important due to their deeds. If I will ever make anyone settle his accounts, he is destroyed.’”

The compiler of this book, may Allah be pleased with him, said: I asked Abu Bishr, the Linguist, in the City of Peace about the meaning of the Imam, to which he said: The Imam in the language of the Arabs is the one who goes forward people; the Imam is the plumb, that is the plumbing line, by which a building is built; the Imam is the gold that is placed in the house of multiplication that the standard might be derived from it; the Imam is the line that gathers the beads in a knot; the Imam is the guide on a journey at the darkness of the night; and the Imam is the arrow that is made an example for arrows to be made like.

Hadith.4917 - The Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) used to say in his supplication: "O Allah (swt), I seek refuge in You (swt) from a child who becomes a master over me, from wealth that becomes a burden upon me, from a wife who causes me to grow old before my time, and from a deceitful friend whose eyes watch me while his heart harbors ill will toward me. If he sees good in me, he conceals it, and if he sees evil in me, he spreads it. And I seek refuge in You (swt) from the pain of the stomach, and from people who are deaf (in character), when they hear good about me, they forget it, and when they hear bad about me, they spread it."

he heard abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) say: "Indeed, we possess that which makes us independent of others, while others are in need of us. We have a book dictated by the Messenger of Allah (sw) and written in the handwriting of ʿAlī (AS), a scroll that contains all matters of what is lawful and unlawful. You bring matters to us, and we recognize whether you have adhered to them or abandoned them."

“Know that those who visit mosque in darkness will get bright eyesight and glad-tidings on the Day of Judgment.”

“I (the narrator) asked abu al-Hassan al-Awwal (a.s.), about a deceased person’s visiting his family. He replied, ‘Yes, (this is a fact).’ I then asked, ‘How often do such visits take place?’ He replied, ‘In a Friday (week), in a month and in a year, depending upon his status.’ I then asked, ‘In what form does he visit his family?’ He replied, ‘He visits them in the form of a fine bird. He drops on their walls and oversees them. If he finds them in good deeds, he becomes happy, and if he finds them in evil deeds or in need, he becomes depressed and sorrowful.’”

“On the Resurrection Day believers will be asked to watch the people, and find out whoever has somehow helped them by feeding them, or giving them something to drink, etc. They will then be allowed to take the hands of all the people who somehow helped them and take them all to Heaven. Then on the way to Heaven the angels will ask them where they are going. God the Almighty will then say: “Grant my servants permission to pass.” And they will do so. This is the reason a believer is called “Mumin” which in Arabic means “One who grants immunity” near God and God will accept it.”

I heard God’s Prophet (MGB) say, ‘There will be twelve Leaders after me.’ Then the Prophet (MGB) said something which I did not understand. I asked the people what he had said. They said, ‘The Prophet (MGB) said, ‘They are all from the Quraysh.’”

Hadith.4376 - The Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace be upon him and his family) said: "Shall I not inform you about the worst of your women?" They said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah (swt), tell us." He said: "The worst of your women is the one who is humble and submissive with her family but domineering and arrogant with her husband. She is barren, spiteful, and does not refrain from committing indecency. She flaunts herself when her husband is absent but is reserved and guarded when he is present. She does not listen to his words nor obey his commands. When he is alone with her, she behaves stubbornly like a difficult mount that resists being ridden. She neither accepts his apology nor forgives his faults."
