3. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Rifa‘ah who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘Can people leave for Mina early in the morning ? 5 He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, they can do so until sunset . ‘“
3ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ رِفَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ هَلْ يَخْرُجُ النَّاسُ إِلَى مِنًى غُدْوَةً قَالَ نَعَمْ إِلَى غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ.

حَدُّ الْعَقِيقِ مَا بَيْنَ الْمَسْلَخِ إِلَى عَقَبَةِ غَمْرَةَ.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Sahl ibn Ziyad all from ibn Mahbub from those whom he has mentioned (in his book) from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“To maintain contact with friends in the town is by visiting, on a journey and out of town by correspondence.”
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَسَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ جَمِيعاً عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
التَّوَاصُلُ بَيْنَ الإخْوَانِ فِي الْحَضَرِ التَّزَاوُرُ وَفِي السَّفَرِ التَّكَاتُبُ.

2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father from Sa‘dan ibn Muslim from Musa ibn Bakr who has said the following
“Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said, ‘Your serving food to your fasting brother (in belief) is better than your fasting.’”

فِطْرُكَ أَخَاكَ الصَّائِمَ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ صِيَامِكَ.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from ‘Abd Allah ibn al- Mughirah who has said the following
“I once heard abu al-Hassan (a.s.), saying, ‘You must marry women of large hips because they are most fertile for child bearing.’”
1- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِذَوَاتِ الأوْرَاكِ فَإِنَّهُنَّ أَنْجَبُ.

13. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu’alla ibn Muhammad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from certain individuals of his people from who has said the following
“The Imam has said, ‘Whoever uses foul language against his Muslim brother (in belief) Allah removes blessings from his livelihood, leaves him to be on his own and destroys his means of living.”’
13ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ رِجَالِهِ قَالَ
قَالَ مَنْ فَحُشَ عَلَى أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ نَزَعَ الله مِنْهُ بَرَكَةَ رِزْقِهِ وَوَكَلَهُ إِلَى نَفْسِهِ وَأَفْسَدَ عَلَيْهِ مَعِيشَتَهُ.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad and Afi ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father all from ibn abu Najran from Muhammad ibn Humran who has narrated the following

لا يَتَوَارَثُ الْحُرُّ وَالْمَمْلُوكُ.

5. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ’Isa from ‘Uthman ibn ’Isa from abu Bakr al-Hadramiy who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘Is sea water clean?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘Yes, it is clean.’”
5ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنْ مَاءِ الْبَحْرِ أَ طَهُورٌ هُوَ قَالَ نَعَمْ.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr from ‘Umar ibn Hanzalah who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about al-Madhiy. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is only like nasal mucus. They are very similar.’”
2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الْمَذْيِ فَقَالَ مَا هُوَ وَالنُّخَامَةُ إِلاَّ سَوَاءٌ.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr from Hamzah ibn Humran who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Clothes do not cause one to become as one who has experienced sexual relation and one experiencing sexual relation does not affect his clothes.’”
4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ حُمْرَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
لاَ يُجْنِبُ الثَّوْبُ الرَّجُلَ وَلاَ يُجْنِبُ الرَّجُلُ الثَّوْبَ.

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from al-‘Ala’ from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about women’s using gold and silver as ornaments. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful.’”

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘A Jewish or a Christian woman cannot become a second wife, the first being a Muslim woman.’”
4- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ رَزِينٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
لا يَتَزَوَّجُ الْيَهُودِيَّةَ وَلا النَّصْرَانِيَّةَ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمَةِ.

5. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn from Muhammad ibn al-Fudayl who said
“I asked a pious servant (Imam Sadiq (AS)) about the words of Allah, the Most Majestic and Most Glorious, ‘Those who are unmindful of their prayers.’ (107:5) He replied, ‘It means loss (of prayer).’”
5ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفُضَيْلِ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ عَبْداً صَالِحاً (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنْ قَوْلِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلاتِهِمْ ساهُونَ قَالَ هُوَ التَّضْيِيعُ.

11. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sayf from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar in a marfu’ manner who has said the following
“Whenever the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, was about to embark on an armed expedition, he would call his wives for advice and then oppose them.’” (Details of such advice are not mentioned)
11- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَيْفٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) إِذَا أَرَادَ الْحَرْبَ دَعَا نِسَاءَهُ فَاسْتَشَارَهُنَّ ثُمَّ خَالَفَهُنَ‏.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr from Zurarah who has said the following
“I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about a man who is for al-Mufrid al-Hajj after entering Makkah; if he can perform his Tawaf or delay to perform it later. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is the same/”
1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) عَنِ الْمُفْرِدِ لِلْحَجِّ يَدْخُلُ مَكَّةَ يُقَدِّمُ طَوَافَهُ أَوْ يُؤَخِّرُهُ فَقَالَ سَوَاءٌ.

الدُّبَّاءُ يَزِيدُ فِي الدِّمَاغِ .

“I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), about the food of the people of the book and what is lawful for food thereof. He (the Imam) said, ’It is grains.’”
