hadith 18

17. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ja‘far ibn Muhammad al-Ash‘ari from ‘Ubaydallah al-Dihqan from Durust from Ibrahim ibn ‘Abd al-Hamid that Abu ‘Abdillah (al-Sadiq) (as) said

"The most perfect of people in intellect are the best of them in character."

17ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الاشْعَرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ الله الدِّهْقَانِ عَنْ دُرُسْتَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ قَالَ

قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) أَكْمَلُ النَّاسِ عَقْلاً أَحْسَنُهُمْ خُلُقاً.

Everything in this book that is narrated from Mubarak Al-Aqraqufi has been transmitted by me from Al-Husayn ibn Ibrahim ibn Tatana - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Ali ibn Ibrahim ibn Hashim, from his father, from Muhammad ibn Sinan, from Mubarak Al-Aqraqufi Al-Asadi.

عن الحسين بن إبراهيم بن تاتانة- رضي اللّه عنه- عن عليّ بن إبراهيم بن هاشم، عن أبيه، عن محمّد بن سنان، عن مبارك العقرقوفيّ الأسديّ‌.

و ما كان فيه عن مبارك العقرقوفيّ فقد رويته

18. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from al- Husayn ibn Ahmad al-Minqari who has said the following

“I heard abu Ibrahim (a.s.) saying, ‘If one considers one verse of the Holy Quran sufficient (for his protection) from East to West, it is enough [with certainty].”’

18ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ الْمِنْقَرِيِّ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ مَنِ اسْتَكْفَى بِ‏آيَةٍ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مِنَ الشَّرْقِ إِلَى الْغَرْبِ كُفِيَ إِذَا كَانَ بِيَقِينٍ.

hadith 1323

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Ibrahim ibn ‘Umar al-Yamani from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following

“‘When a believer accuses his brother (in faith), belief melts away in his heart just as salt melts away in water.’”

1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُمَرَ الْيَمَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ

إِذَا اتَّهَمَ الْمُؤْمِنُ أَخَاهُ انْمَاثَ الإيمَانُ مِنْ قَلْبِهِ كَمَا يَنْمَاثُ الْمِلْحُ فِي الْمَاءِ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ’Isma‘il ibn Marrar from Yunus from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following

“I once asked abu Ibrahim (a.s.), about ‘Aqiqah for one who is affluent and one who is poor. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not necessary for one who cannot find anything.’”

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مَرَّارٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ

سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ عَلَى الْمُعْسِرِ وَ الْمُوسِرِ فَقَالَ لَيْسَ عَلَى مَنْ لَا يَجِدُ شَيْ‏ءٌ .

hadith 1989

10. Fadalah ibn Ayyub has narrated from ‘ Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The right of Ibrahim ‘Alayhi al-Salam was from al- Hazwarah to al-Mas‘a’; so it is the quarter which Ibrahim ‘Alayhi al-Salam had marked, that is, the area of the Masjid.’”

10ـ فَضَالَةُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ

كَانَ حَقُّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) بِمَكَّةَ مَا بَيْنَ الْحَزْوَرَةِ إِلَى الْمَسْعَى فَذَلِكَ الَّذِي كَانَ خَطَّهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) يَعْنِي الْمَسْجِدَ.

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Ibrahim ibn ‘Umar who has said the following

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Any believing person who when washing the dead body of a believing person says, “O Allah grant him forgiveness,” Allah then grants forgiveness to him also.’”

3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ

مَا مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ يُغَسِّلُ مُؤْمِناً وَيَقُولُ وَهُوَ يُغَسِّلُهُ رَبِّ عَفْوَكَ عَفْوَكَ إِلاَّ عَفَا الله عَنْهُ.

8. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Ibrahim ibn ‘Umar al-Yamani from a man from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following

“Our Shi’a (followers) are people of guidance, of piety, of goodness, of belief and people of victory and triumph.”

8ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُمَرَ الْيَمَانِيِّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ

شِيعَتُنَا أَهْلُ الْهُدَى وَأَهْلُ التُّقَى وَأَهْلُ الْخَيْرِ وَأَهْلُ الإيمَانِ وَأَهْلُ الْفَتْحِ وَالظَّفَرِ.

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Isma‘il ibn Marrar from Yunus from Ali ibn Yaqtin who has said the following

“I once asked abu Ibrahim (a.s.), about performing Salat (prayer) in reduced form in Makkah. He (the Imam) said, ‘You should perform in complete form; but it is not obligatory, except that I like for you what I like for myself.’”

3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مَرَّارٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَقْطِينٍ قَالَ

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) عَنِ التَّقْصِيرِ بِمَكَّةَ فَقَالَ أَتِمَّ وَلَيْسَ بِوَاجِبٍ إِلاَّ أَنِّي أُحِبُّ لَكَ مَا أُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِي.

hadith 1076

My father (ra) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim b. Hashim narrated to us from his father Ibrahim b. Hashim. He said: Ibrahim b. Raja’ al-Jahdari narrated to me. He said: Waki` b. al-Jarrah narrated to us from Sharik b. `Abdullah from `Abdullah b. Muhammad b. `Aqil from Jabir b. `Abdullah al-Ansari. He said

The Messenger of Allah (s) said: He who prefers one of my companions over `Ali has disbelieved.

5 - حدثنا أبي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم بن هاشم، عن أبيه إبراهيم بن هاشم، قال: حدثني إبراهيم بن رجاء الجحدري، قال: حدثنا وكيع بن الجراح، عن شريك بن عبد الله، عن عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل، عن جابر بن عبد الله الانصاري، قال

قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): من فضل أحدا من أصحابي على علي فقد كفر (2).

hadith 212

Al-Husayn b. Ibrahim (rh) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from Ja`far b. Salama al-Isfahani from Ibrahim b. Muhammad. He said: Al-Qinad narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Hashim b. Burayd narrated to us from his father. He said

Zayd b. `Ali (as) was asked about the saying of the Messenger of Allah (s): “Whoever takes me as a Master, then `Ali is his Master.” He said: He set him up as a sign so that it may be known through him who the Party of Allah were during the split.

3 - حدثنا الحسين بن إبراهيم (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم، عن جعفر بن سلمة الاصبهاني، عن إبراهيم بن محمد، قال: حدثنا القناد (3)، قال: حدثنا علي بن هاشم بن البريد، عن أبيه، قال

سئل زيد بن علي (عليه السلام) عن قول رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): من كنت مولاه فعلي مولاه. قال: نصبه علما ليعلم به حزب الله عند الفرقة (1).

hadith 967

Al-Husayn b. Ibrahim b. Natana (rh) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim b. Hashim narrated to us from his father from Muhammad b. Abi `Umayr rom Ibrahim al-Karkhi. He said

I said to al-Sadiq (as): A man saw his Lord in his dream, so what is that? So, he said: That is a man with no religion. Surely, Allah cannot be seen when awake, nor in a dream, nor in this world, nor in the Hereafter.

6 - حدثنا الحسين بن إبراهيم بن ناتانه (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم بن هاشم، عن أبيه، عن محمد بن أبي عمير، عن إبراهيم الكرخي، قال

قلت للصادق (عليه السلام): إن رجلا رأى ربه عزوجل في منامه، فما يكون ذلك؟ فقال: ذلك رجل لا دين له، إن الله تبارك وتعالى لا يرى في اليقظة، ولا في المنام، ولا في الدنيا، ولا في الآخرة (2).

Everything in this book that is narrated from Ibrahim ibn Abi Bilad has been transmitted by me from my father - may Allah (swt) have mercy on him - from Abdullah ibn Jafar Al-Himyari, from Muhammad ibn Al-Husayn ibn Abi Al-Khattab, from Ibrahim ibn Abi Bilad, who was known by the kunyah Abu Ismail.

عن أبي- رحمه اللّه- عن عبد اللّه بن جعفر الحميريّ، عن محمّد بن الحسين بن أبي الخطّاب، عن إبراهيم بن أبي البلاد و يكنّى أبا إسماعيل‌.

عن أبي- رضي اللّه عنه- عن سعد بن عبد اللّه، عن أيّوب بن نوح، عن محمّد بن أبي عمير، عن إبراهيم بن أبي زياد الكرخيّ‌.

و ما كان فيه عن إبراهيم بن أبي زياد الكرخيّ فقد رويته

6. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Muhammad ibn Shadhan ibn Nu‘aym from Ibrahim ibn ‘Abdahu al-Naysaburi’s house maid who has said the following.

“I was standing with Ibrahim on al-Safa’ that he (the twelfth Imam) came and stood higher than Ibrahim, took his Hajj guide book and spoke to him about a number of things.”

6ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ عَنْ خَادِمٍ لابْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدَةَ النَّيْسَابُورِيِّ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ

كُنْتُ وَاقِفَةً مَعَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَى الصَّفَا فَجَاءَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) حَتَّى وَقَفَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَقَبَضَ عَلَى كِتَابِ مَنَاسِكِهِ وَحَدَّثَهُ بِأَشْيَاءَ.

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his brother Ishaq ibn Ibrahim from Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il ibn Bazi‘ who has said the following

“Abu al-Hassan, al-Rida (a.s.), has said, ‘In the case of women about Wudu’ for Salah (prayer), Allah has made it obligatory in washing their hands to pour water over the interior side of their forearm and for men to pour water over the exterior side of their forearms.’”

6ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَخِيهِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ

فَرَضَ الله عَلَى النِّسَاءِ فِي الْوُضُوءِ لِلصَّلاَةِ أَنْ يَبْتَدِئْنَ بِبَاطِنِ أَذْرُعِهِنَّ وَفِي الرِّجَالِ بِظَاهِرِ الذِّرَاعِ.

17. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Hammad from Ibrahim ibn ‘Abd al-Hamid who has said the following

“I once heard him (the Imam) (a.s.), say, ‘One who leaves one of the two al-Haram (the Sacred places) when the day is high before performing Salat (prayer) of al-Zuhr and al-‘Asr a caller will call from behind him, ‘May Allah not accompany you.’”

17ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ مَنْ خَرَجَ مِنَ الْحَرَمَيْنِ بَعْدَ ارْتِفَاعِ النَّهَارِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ نُودِيَ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ لا صَحِبَكَ الله.

56. We were told by Muhammed bin Hasan bin Ahmad bin Waleed, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said: We were told by Muhammed ibn Hasan al-Saffar, from Harun bin Muslim, from Mas’ada bin Ziyad, from al-Sadiq, Ja’far bin Muhammed, from his father, peace be upon them both, that the

Prophet, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, said: The one who obeys Allah has certainly remembered Allah, even if his prayers, fasting and recitation (of the Qur’an) are little. The one who disobeys Allah has certainly forgot Allah, even if his prayers, fasting and recitation of the Qur’an are much.

حدثنا محمد بن موسى بن المتوكل، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم بن هاشم، عن أبيه، عن ابن أبي عمير، عن إبراهيم بن زياد قال

قال الصادق عليه السلام: كذب من زعم أنه يعرفنا وهو متمسك بعروة غيرنا.

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Ibrahim ibn ‘Umar al-Yamani from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following

“The serving of a man’s food at his home to two of the believing people to their satisfaction is more meritorious than the setting free of a human soul.”

4ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُمَرَ الْيَمَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ

مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يُدْخِلُ بَيْتَهُ مُؤْمِنَيْنِ فَيُطْعِمُهُمَا شِبَعَهُمَا إِلا كَانَ ذَلِكَ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ عِتْقِ نَسَمَةٍ.

hadith 282

And whatever is narrated from Ibrahim ibn Sufyan, I have narrated it from Muhammad ibn Ali Ma'jilawayh - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from his uncle Muhammad ibn Abi Al-Qasim, from Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Kufi, from Muhammad ibn Sinan, from Ibrahim ibn Sufyan.

عن محمّد بن عليّ ماجيلويه- رضي اللّه عنه- عن عمّه محمّد بن أبي القاسم، عن محمّد بن عليّ الكوفيّ، عن محمّد بن سنان عن إبراهيم بن سفيان‌.
