Hadith 212

Al-Husayn b. Ibrahim (rh) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from Ja`far b. Salama al-Isfahani from Ibrahim b. Muhammad. He said: Al-Qinad narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Hashim b. Burayd narrated to us from his father. He said
Zayd b. `Ali (as) was asked about the saying of the Messenger of Allah (s): “Whoever takes me as a Master, then `Ali is his Master.” He said: He set him up as a sign so that it may be known through him who the Party of Allah were during the split.
