hadith 1395

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following

“I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘People narrate that the Holy Prophet has said, “Seventy Prophets have blessed chickpeas.’” He (the Imam) said, ‘This is what you call chickpeas but we call it lintels.’”

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ

قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِنَّ النَّاسَ يَرْوُونَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) قَالَ إِنَّ الْعَدَسَ بَارَكَ عَلَيْهِ سَبْعُونَ نَبِيّاً فَقَالَ هُوَ الَّذِي يُسَمُّونَهُ عِنْدَكُمُ الْحِمِّصَ وَ نَحْنُ نُسَمِّيهِ الْعَدَسَ .

hadith 1479

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr who has said the following

“Abu al-Hassan, al-Rida 5 (a.s.), has said, figs remove bad-breath (halitosis), brings firmness to the teeth and bones, grows hairs and dispels illness and with it medicine is not needed. 5 He (the Imam) has said, ‘The fig is most similar to the plants of paradise. 5 ” Sahl ibn Ziyad has narrated from Ahmad ibn al-Ash‘ath from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn abu Nasr a similar Hadith.’”

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ

التِّينُ يَذْهَبُ بِالْبَخَرِ وَ يَشُدُّ الْفَمَ وَ الْعَظْمَ وَ يُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ وَ يَذْهَبُ بِالدَّاءِ وَ لَا يُحْتَاجُ مَعَهُ إِلَى دَوَاءٍوَ قَالَ ( عليه السلام ) التِّينُ أَشْبَهُ شَيْ‏ءٍ بِنَبَاتِ الْجَنَّةِ.

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has said the following

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The endive is a very good herb. On every one of its leaves there is a drop of paradise, so you should eat it and do not shake it off when eating.’ He (the Imam) has said, ’My father (a.s.), prohibited us from shaking off when we were eating it.’”

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ

نِعْمَ الْبَقْلُ الْهِنْدَبَاءُ وَ لَيْسَ مِنْ وَرَقَةٍ إِلَّا وَ عَلَيْهَا قَطْرَةٌ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ فَكُلُوهَا وَ لَا تَنْفُضُوهَا عِنْدَ أَكْلِهَا قَالَ وَ كَانَ أَبِي ( عليه السلام ) يَنْهَانَا أَنْ نَنْفُضَهُ إِذَا أَكَلْنَاهُ .

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn Mahbub from abu Ayyub from abu ‘Ubaydah who has said the following

“About the case of a man who marries a woman but he does not go to bed with her and she claims that her mahr (dower) is one hundred dinar while the husband says that it is fifty dinar and there is no witness, abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said, ‘The words of the husband are accepted on oath.’”

3- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام)

فِي رَجُلٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً فَلَمْ يَدْخُلْ بِهَا فَادَّعَتْ أَنَّ صَدَاقَهَا مِائَةُ دِينَارٍ وَذَكَرَ الزَّوْجُ أَنَّ صَدَاقَهَا خَمْسُونَ دِينَاراً وَلَيْسَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَيِّنَةٌ فَقَالَ الْقَوْلُ قَوْلُ الزَّوْجِ مَعَ يَمِينِهِ.

7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu Nasr, from Dawud ibn al-Husayn, from abu al-‘Abbas who has said the following

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who divorces his wife after childbirth and her becoming clean and she is a woman who does not experience Hayd (menses) as long as she breastfeeds and about how much is her waiting period. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is three months.’”

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ قَالَ

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ رَجُلٍ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَتْ وَ طَهُرَتْ وَ هِيَ امْرَأَةٌ لَا تَرَى دَماً مَا دَامَتْ تُرْضِعُ مَا عِدَّتُهَا قَالَ ثَلَاثَةُ أَشْهُرٍ .

11. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following

“Once abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about the case of a woman whose husband dies; if it is proper for her to perform al-Hajj and visit the sick people. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, she can do so for the sake of Allah, but must not use kohl and perfume.’”

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ

سُئِلَ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ يَمُوتُ عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا أَ يَصْلُحُ لَهَا أَنْ تَحُجَّ أَوْ تَعُودَ مَرِيضاً قَالَ نَعَمْ تَخْرُجُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَ لَا تَكْتَحِلُ وَ لَا تَطَيَّبُ .

13. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘Umar ibn ‘Udhaynah from al-Fudayl ibn Yasar who has said the following

“Once, I said to Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) ‘People say that the Holy Quran was revealed upon seven letters.’ The Imam said, ‘They, the enemies of Allah, lie. It was revealed upon one letter from One source.’”

13ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ عَنِ الْفُضَيْلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ

قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) إِنَّ النَّاسَ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّ الْقُرْآنَ نَزَلَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَحْرُفٍ فَقَالَ كَذَبُوا أَعْدَاءُ الله وَلَكِنَّهُ نَزَلَ عَلَى حَرْفٍ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ عِنْدِ الْوَاحِدِ.

hadith 1332

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Hariz who has said the following

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘In the state of Ihram, it is permissible for one to slaughter the cow, the camel and the sheep. One can slaughter all of such birds which do not flip their wings in flight; and whatever is lawful for one who is not in the state of Ihram to slaughter in al- Haram (the sacred area), is lawful for one in the state of Ihram in non-al-Haram (the sacred area) and in al-Haram (the sacred area).’”

1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ

الْمُحْرِمُ يَذْبَحُ الْبَقَرَ وَالإِبِلَ وَالْغَنَمَ وَكُلَّ مَا لَمْ يَصُفَّ مِنَ الطَّيْرِ وَمَا أُحِلَّ لِلْحَلالِ أَنْ يَذْبَحَهُ فِي الْحَرَمِ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فِي الْحِلِّ وَالْحَرَمِ.

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘Umar ibn ‘Udhaynah who has said the following

“I heard abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), when reaching at the backside of al-Ka‘bah after passing the Black Stone, say, ‘O Possessor of munificence, generosity and kindness, my deeds are weak, so increase them and accept them from me; You are all-Hearing and all-Knowing/”

6ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) يَقُولُ لَمَّا انْتَهَى إِلَى ظَهْرِ الْكَعْبَةِ حِينَ يَجُوزُ الْحَجَرَ يَا ذَا الْمَنِّ وَالطَّوْلِ وَالْجُودِ وَالْكَرَمِ إِنَّ عَمَلِي ضَعِيفٌ فَضَاعِفْهُ لِي وَتَقَبَّلْهُ مِنِّي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ.

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who is for al-Hajj al-Tamattu‘ (advantageous) and performs sexual intercourse with his wife before Taqsir (cutting some hair or finger nails and so on). He (the Imam) said, ‘He must slaughter one Jazur and I fear for his al-Hajj to have become damaged if he did knowingly; but if he is ignorant, he is not obligated for anything in this matter.’”

5ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) عَنْ مُتَمَتِّعٍ وَقَعَ عَلَى امْرَأَتِهِ وَلَمْ يُقَصِّرْ فَقَالَ يَنْحَرُ جَزُوراً وَقَدْ خِفْتُ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدْ ثُلِمَ حَجُّهُ إِنْ كَانَ عَالِماً وَإِنْ كَانَ جَاهِلاً فَلا شَيْ‏ءَ عَلَيْهِ.

hadith 1731

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hafs ibn al-Bakhtariy and Hisham ibn al-Hakam who has said the following

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked, ‘Is ‘Arafat, more important or al-Haram (the sacred area)?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Al-Haram (the sacred area) is more important.’ It was asked, ‘Why is ‘Arafat not in al-Haram (the sacred area)?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘This is how Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, has made it.’”

5ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ الْبَخْتَرِيِّ وَهِشَامِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) أَنَّهُ قِيلَ لَهُ أَيُّمَا أَفْضَلُ الْحَرَمُ أَوْ عَرَفَةُ فَقَالَ

الْحَرَمُ فَقِيلَ وَكَيْفَ لَمْ تَكُنْ عَرَفَاتٌ فِي الْحَرَمِ فَقَالَ هَكَذَا جَعَلَهَا الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn al-Hakam who has narrated the following

“About the meaning of the words of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, ’. . .or two from people other than your people,’ (5:106) abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘This applies when a man is away from his land where Muslims are not found, then appointing non-Muslims as witness to a will is permissible.’”

6- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي قَوْلِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَوْ آخَرانِ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ قَالَ

إِذَا كَانَ الرَّجُلُ فِي أَرْضِ غُرْبَةٍ لا يُوجَدُ فِيهَا مُسْلِمٌ جَازَتْ شَهَادَةُ مَنْ لَيْسَ بِمُسْلِمٍ عَلَى الْوَصِيَّةِ.

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has narrated the following

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is proper for al-Sarura (one who performs al-Hajj for the first time) to shave his head, but if he has already performed al-Hajj he then may shave or do Taqsir (cutting some hair or fingernails and so on).’ He (the Imam) has said that if one has felted or braided his hairs, he must shave.’”

6ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ

يَنْبَغِي لِلصَّرُورَةِ أَنْ يَحْلِقَ وَإِنْ كَانَ قَدْ حَجَّ فَإِنْ شَاءَ قَصَّرَ وَإِنْ شَاءَ حَلَقَ قَالَ وَإِذَا لَبَّدَ شَعْرَهُ أَوْ عَقَصَهُ فَإِنَّ عَلَيْهِ الْحَلْقَ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ التَّقْصِيرُ.

hadith 2151

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu Najran from Zayd ibn Ishaq from al-Hassan ibn ‘Atiyyah who has said the following

“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that when you complete offering your greeting of peace to the martyrs then go the gravesite of abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), keep it in front of you and perform salat (prayer) as much as you want.”

4ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ

إِذَا فَرَغْتَ مِنَ السَّلامِ عَلَى الشُّهَدَاءِ فَائْتِ قَبْرَ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) فَاجْعَلْهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ ثُمَّ تُصَلِّي مَا بَدَا لَكَ.

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has said the following

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that about the case of a man who had left the affairs of his wife to two men to deal with; of whom one divorced her but the other one refused, ’Amir al- Mu’minin also refused to approve it unless both agreed to divorce her.’”

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ

قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) فِي رَجُلٍ جَعَلَ طَلَاقَ امْرَأَتِهِ بِيَدِ رَجُلَيْنِ فَطَلَّقَ أَحَدُهُمَا وَ أَبَى الْآخَرُ فَأَبَى أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) أَنْ يُجِيزَ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى يَجْتَمِعَا جَمِيعاً عَلَى طَلَاقٍ .

hadith 238

2-124 Al-Hassan ibn Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Alavi - may God be pleased with him - narrated that his grandfather quoted Muhammad ibn Ja’far, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Ibrahim ibn Muhammad, on the authority of Safvan ibn Suleiman that the

Prophet (MGB) said, “RegardingAl-Hassan, I have granted him my grandeur and patience, and regarding Al-Hussein, I have granted him my benevolence and compassionateness.”

2-124 حدثنا الحسن بن محمد بن يحيى العلوي رضي الله عنه قال: حدثني جدي قال: حدثنا محمد بن جعفر قال: حدثني أبي، عن إبراهيم بن محمد، عن صــفوان بنسليمان أن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله قال

أما الحسن فأنحله الهيبة والحلم، وأما الحسين فأنحله الجود والرحمة

hadith 732

5-71 (The compiler of the book narrated) that his father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Ahmad ibn Idris quoted Muhammad ibn Ahmad, on the authority of Ibrahim ibn Hamuye, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Isa al-Yaqtayni, on the authority of Al-Ridha (MGB)

“A whiterooster has five of the characteristics of the Prophets as follows: it recognizes the times of prayer; it has zeal; it is generous; it is brave and it copulates with his hen spouse a lot.”

5-71 حدثنا أبي رضي الله عنه قال حدثنا أحمد بن إدريس، عن محمد بن أحمد، عن إبراهيم بن حمويه، عن محمد بن عيسى اليقطيني قال

قال الرضا عليه السـلامفي الديك الابيض خمس خصال من خصال الانبياء عليهم السلام: معرفته بأوقات الصلاة، والغيرة، والسخاء والشجاعة، وكثرة الطروقة

hadith 292

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father and Muhammad ibn Yahya from Ahmad ibn Muhammad all from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad ibn ‘Uthman from al-Halabiy who has said the following

“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about the crescents (mentioned in the holy Quran). He (the Imam) replied, ‘It is a reference to the new moon of the months. When you see the new moon, begin fasting; when you see the new moon discontinue fasting.’”

1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ جَمِيعاً عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ

إِنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنِ الأَهِلَّةِ فَقَالَ هِيَ أَهِلَّةُ الشُّهُورِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ الْهِلالِ فَصُمْ وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَهُ فَأَفْطِرْ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr and Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad all from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If a fasting person vomits, his fast becomes invalid; but for having nausea without vomiting he must complete his fast.’”

2ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ جَمِيعاً عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ

إِذَا تَقَيَّأَ الصَّائِمُ فَقَدْ أَفْطَرَ وَإِنْ ذَرَعَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَتَقَيَّأَ فَلْيُتِمَّ صَوْمَهُ.

9. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following

“To every believer Allah has assigned four things: a Satan who wants to mislead him, an unbeliever who fights him, a believer who envies him - it is the most difficult one - and a hypocrite who tracks down his mistakes (for evil purposes).”

9ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ

مَا مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ إِلا وَقَدْ وَكَّلَ الله بِهِ أَرْبَعَةً شَيْطَاناً يُغْوِيهِ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُضِلَّهُ وَكَافِراً يَغْتَالُهُ وَمُؤْمِناً يَحْسُدُهُ وَهُوَ أَشَدُّهُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَمُنَافِقاً يَتَتَبَّعُ عَثَرَاتِهِ.
