النعمان بن بشير: من أصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله، رجال الشيخ (1). وقال ابن عبد البر في الاستيعاب: " كان النعمان أميرا على الكوفة لمعاوية سبعة أشهر، ثم كان أميرا على حمص لمعاوية، ثم ليزيد، فلما مات يزيد صار زبيريا، وخالفه أهل حمص فأخرجوه منها، واتبعوه وقتلوه ". وقال المحدث القمي - رحمه الله - في سفينة البحار، الجزء 2، في مادة (نعم): " أمر يزيد نعمان بن بشير بأن يجهز أهل بيت الحسين - عليه السلام - بما يصلحهم، ويبعث معهم خيلا وأعوانا حتى يرجعوا إلى المدينة ".
