زياد بن عبيد: من أصحاب علي عليه السلام، عامله على البصرة، رجال الشيخ (16). أقول: هذا هو زياد بن أبيه وأمه سمية المعروفة، وقصة إلحاقه بأبي سفيان مشهورة، ونغله عبيد الله قاتل الحسين عليه السلام، وليت شعري كيف عد العلامة وابن داود هذا اللعين ابن اللعين أبا اللعين في القسم الأول من كتابيهما وكأنهما لم يلتفتا إلى أن زياد بن عبيد هو زياد المعروف بأمه. والله العالم.
