Abu Abdullah (as) said: "If a man strikes another man with a piece of pottery or a brick and he dies, it is considered intentional killing."

“Not to cause suffering to neighbors is not a good neighborly relation, however, to be a good neighbor and to exercise patience in suffering (caused by the neighbors) is a good neighborly relations.”

“I heard Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) saying, ‘A believing person is one whose neighbors are safe from his bawa’iq, I then asked, ‘What is bawa’iq ,’ The Imam said, ‘His injustice and transgressions.’”

“It is obligatory for a Muslim to cover for a Muslim seventy major sins.”

“Maintaining good relations with relatives improves moral behavior, opens the ability for generosity, helps one’s soul agree easily to be generous, increases one’s means of sustenance and delays the coming of death.”

“A town in which seven believers live remains safe from torment.”

I asked Abu Ja'far Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as), "What is the least form of (nasb) hostility (towards the Ahlulbayt (as))?" Imam (as) replied: "It is when a man innovates something, and then loves because of it and hates because of it."

“One of the two Imam, (abu Ja’far or abu ‘Abd Allah), ‘Alayhim al-Salam, has said, The limits of al-‘Aqiq is from al-Maslakh to ‘Aqabah.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Clothes do not cause one to become as one who has experienced sexual relation and one experiencing sexual relation does not affect his clothes.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Divorce by a child and one who is drunk do not have any valid effect.’”

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “Saying words of condolence is a way to enter Paradise.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘When performing Salah (prayer) with them (other people) it is sufficient to recite like speaking to one’s soul.’”

“Once I was a partner of abu Ja’far (a.s.) on a journey. On the way we unloaded our luggage and he walked a little and came back, held my hand and squeezed it hard. I asked, ‘May Allah keep my soul in service for your cause, ‘Was I not with you in the carriage?’ The Imam asked, ‘Did you not know that when the believer comes around, and holds the hand of his brother (in belief), Allah faces them and looks at them. He continues facing them and says to the sins to fall off of them and they began to fall, O abu Hamza, like leaves that fall from trees. They then depart and there no sins will be left on them.’”

Ali bin Abu Hamza was mentioned before Imam Ridha (a.s). Imam (a.s) cursed him and said: Ali bin Abi Hamza wants that Almighty Allah should not be worshipped in the heavens and the earth, but Almighty Allah wants to perfect the effulgence of His guidance, even if the accursed polytheists are displeased. I asked: Polytheists? He replied: Yes, by Allah, it is true and he will be degraded. This point is mentioned in the Book of Allah. Then he said: They wanted to blow out the effulgence of God. This verse is about him and people like him who wished to put out the light of God.

"There is no servant who intends to rise (for prayer) at any hour they intend, and Allah (swt), Blessed and Exalted, knows this intention from them, except that He assigns two angels to move them at that hour."

I asked Abu Abdullah (as) about a person in the state of ihram who killed a fox. Imam (as) said: "They must offer a blood sacrifice." I asked: "What about a rabbit?" Imam (as) said: "The same as for the fox."

“When I tell someone a tradition and he spreads it as he hears it from me, he will deserve to be cursed and repudiated.”
He meant that if that someone would spread the tradition among those who were not reliable or qualified. Imam as-Sadiq’s saying showed that he wanted some of the traditions to be kept secret and not to be spread.

“The year preceding the reappearance of Imam Qaim (a.s) will be so verdant that dates will rot on the trees and there will be no one to pick them. Have no doubt about it.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If one wears a loincloth in a sitting position, he remains safe from lower back pain.’”

“Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.) has said, ‘One who fulfills what Allah has made obligatory upon him, he, among the people, is the one who worships the most.’”
