4. A number of our people has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn al-Faddal from abu Jamila from Muhammad al-Halabi from abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) who has said the following.
“Whoever would distance himself from the company the Muslims even by one shibr (one foot) he has removed the band of allegiance with Islam from his neck.”
4ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
مَنْ فَارَقَ جَمَاعَةَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ قِيدَ شِبْرٍ فَقَدْ خَلَعَ رِبْقَةَ الاسْلامِ مِنْ عُنُقِهِ.

hadith 358
9. Muḥammad ibn Ja’far narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain, from Qā`id, who said
Abul Ḥasan the First (Imam Kāżim (a.s.)) said: Allāh will forgive all of the past and future sins of those who go to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) knowing his rights.
9 وَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ قائد [فَائِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الْأَوَّلِ (ع) قَالَ
مَنْ أَتَى قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) عَارِفاً بِحَقِّهِ غَفَرَ [اللَّهُ] لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَ مَا تَأَخَّرَ

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from certain persons of our people who have narrated the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘
If one takes an oath to do something then finds another thing better which he does, he must do that which is better; he gains one good deed.’”
4- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَرَأَى مَا هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْهَا فَلْيَأْتِ الَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ وَلَهُ حَسَنَةٌ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Mahbub from Mu‘awiyah ibn Wahab who has said the following
“Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The Messenger of Allah would place his staff in front of the place where he performed Salah (prayer).’”
1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
كَانَ رَسُولُ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) يَجْعَلُ الْعَنَزَةَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ إِذَا صَلَّى.

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hajjal, from Tha’labah ibn Maymun from Yahya ibn Talhah from Sawrah ibn Kulayb who has said the following
“I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about the minimum of what is sufficient for Tashahhud (testimonies of belief). He (the Imam) said, ‘It is the two testimonies of belief.”
3ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ سَوْرَةَ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنْ أَدْنَى مَا يُجْزِئُ مِنَ التَّشَهُّدِ فَقَالَ الشَّهَادَتَانِ.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from abu Yahya al-Wasitiy from certain persons of our people who have said the following
“Abu al-Hassan, the one before (a.s.), was asked about accumulated water in bathhouses used by people which pollutes clothes. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful.’”
4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى الْوَاسِطِيِّ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الْمَاضِي (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
سُئِلَ عَنْ مَجْمَعِ الْمَاءِ فِي الْحَمَّامِ مِنْ غُسَالَةِ النَّاسِ يُصِيبُ الثَّوْبَ قَالَ لاَ بَأْسَ.

7. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Mu’ammar ibn Khallad who has said the following
“I once asked abu al-Hassan al-Rida’ (a.s.), about the case of a man who marries a woman in the manner of al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) and then takes her from one town to another town. He (the Imam) said, ‘Another marriage is permissible but this is not permissible/”
7- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَمَّرِ بْنِ خَلادٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَتَزَوَّجُ الْمَرْأَةَ مُتْعَةً فَيَحْمِلُهَا مِنْ بَلَدٍ إِلَى بَلَدٍ فَقَالَ يَجُوزُ النِّكَاحُ الآخَرُ وَلا يَجُوزُ هَذَا.

5. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Sinan from Yahya brother of ’daym from al-Walid ibn Subayh who has said the following.
“I heard abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) say, “No one claims this matter (Leadership with Divine Authority) other than one who possesses Divine authority except that Allah will cut his life short.”
5ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى أَخِي أُدَيْمٍ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ صَبِيحٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله يَقُولُ إِنَّ هَذَا الامْرَ لا يَدَّعِيهِ غَيْرُ صَاحِبِهِ إِلا بَتَرَ الله عُمُرَهُ.

7. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Sindiy ibn al-Rabi’ from Sa‘id ibn Janah who has said the following
“I once was in the presence of abu Ja‘far (a.s.), in his home in al-Madinah. He initiating a conversation saying, ‘One who completes his Ruku‘ (bowing down on one’s knees) does not face any dread in the grave.’”
7ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ السِّنْدِيِّ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جَنَاحٍ قَالَ
كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) فِي مَنْزِلِهِ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ مُبْتَدِئاً مَنْ أَتَمَّ رُكُوعَهُ لَمْ تَدْخُلْهُ وَحْشَةٌ فِي الْقَبْرِ.

26. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Barqiy from Dawud ibn abu Yazid al-‘Attar from abu Sa‘id al-Mukariy who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who kills a lion in al-Haram (the sacred area). He (the Imam) said, ’He owes one ram.’”
26ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ الْعَطَّارِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمُكَارِي قَالَ
قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) رَجُلٌ قَتَلَ أَسَداً فِي الْحَرَمِ قَالَ عَلَيْهِ كَبْشٌ يَذْبَحُهُ.

9. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn Mahziyar from who has said the following
“I once asked the man (a.s.), about a man who in the state of Ihram drinks water from a water sack which is made of the skin of hunted animals is it permissible? He (the Imam) said, ‘He can drink from the skins of the animal that are hunted.’”
9ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ الرَّجُلَ عَنِ الْمُحْرِمِ يَشْرَبُ الْمَاءَ مِنْ قِرْبَةٍ أَوْ سِقَاءٍ اتُّخِذَ مِنْ جُلُودِ الصَّيْدِ هَلْ يَجُوزُ ذَلِكَ أَمْ لا فَقَالَ يَشْرَبُ مِنْ جُلُودِهَا.

8. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Barqiy in a marfu‘ manner who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If a man allows intercourse to take place in a woman’s anus without discharge of semen, Ghusl (bath) is not necessary on neither one of them, but if he discharges, Ghusl (bath) is necessary on him but it is not necessary on the woman.’”
8ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْبَرْقِيِّ رَفَعَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
إِذَا أَتَى الرَّجُلُ الْمَرْأَةَ فِي دُبُرِهَا فَلَمْ يُنْزِلْ فَلاَ غُسْلَ عَلَيْهِمَا وَإِنْ أَنْزَلَ فَعَلَيْهِ الْغُسْلُ وَلاَ غُسْلَ عَلَيْهَا.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following
“I once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about wheat and barley. He (the Imam) said, ‘If they are of equal measures it is not harmful.’ He (the narrator) has said, ‘I asked him (the Imam) about flour and wheat. He (the Imam) said, ‘If they are of equal measures it is not harmful.’”
4- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْحِنْطَةِ وَالشَّعِيرِ فَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَا سَوَاءً فَلا بَأْسَ قَالَ وَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْحِنْطَةِ وَالدَّقِيقِ فَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَا سَوَاءً فَلا بَأْسَ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from al-Husayn ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn abu Hashim from abu Khadijah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A man must not apply oil every day; a man should look shaggier and not polished and greasy like a woman.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي خَدِيجَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
لَا يَدَّهِنُ الرَّجُلُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ يُرَى الرَّجُلُ شَعِثاً لَا يُرَى مُتَزَلِّقاً كَأَنَّهُ امْرَأَةٌ .

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Mahbub from Shihab from ibn Bukayr from Zurarah who has said the following
“About the case of a man in the state of Ihram who is forced to eat from hunting or carcasses, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that he can eat from hunting and pay the ransom.”
3ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ شِهَابٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ وَزُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم)
فِي رَجُلٍ اضْطُرَّ إِلَى مَيْتَةٍ وَصَيْدٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ قَالَ يَأْكُلُ الصَّيْدَ وَيَفْدِي.

إِنَّ الله تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يُحِبُّ إِهْرَاقَ الدِّمَاءِ وَإِطْعَامَ الطَّعَامِ.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Ali ibn abu Hamzah from abu Basir who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ’If the tails of sheep are cut off when the sheep is alive, the tail is dead like being slaughtered improperly.’”

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from abu al-Mighra’ from al-Halabiy who has said the following
“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘If clean (properly slaughtered) become mixed with the dead ones, one can sell them to one who considers dead animals as lawful and use the payment that one receives.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ أَبِي الْمَغْرَاءِ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ إِذَا اخْتَلَطَ الذَّكِيُّ وَ الْمَيْتَةُ بَاعَهُ مِمَّنْ يَسْتَحِلُّ الْمَيْتَةَ وَ يَأْكُلُ ثَمَنَهُ .

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following
“He (the Imam) (a.s.), has said, ‘If one knows the kind of mistake he has made and completes it then Sajdah (prostration) for mistake is not necessary for him. Sajdah (prostration) for mistake is upon one who does not know if he has increased or decreased something in Salah (prayer).”’
4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ مَنْ حَفِظَ سَهْوَهُ وَأَتَمَّهُ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ سَجْدَتَا السَّهْوِ إِنَّمَا السَّهْوُ عَلَى مَنْ لَمْ يَدْرِ زَادَ أَمْ نَقَصَ مِنْهَا.

10. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Hassan ibn Ali ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr from ’Ubayd ibn Zurara who has said the following.
“Abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) said, ‘You must preserve your books because you will soon need them.’”
10ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) احْتَفِظُوا بِكُتُبِكُمْ فَإِنَّكُمْ سَوْفَ تَحْتَاجُونَ إِلَيْهَا.
